EMPANELMENT OF ARCHITECTS

FACT Engineering and Design Organisation, a Division of The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd, a Central Public Sector Undertaking intends to constitute a panel of architects for handling their upcoming projects located in India and abroad. Applications are invited from reputed Architects with expertise in the design of various types of Civil Engineering Structures related to residential, commercial and tourism sectors including interior decorations, landscaping, electrification and air conditioning works for the inclusion of their names in the panel. The empanelled Architects will be contacted by FACT Engineering and Design Organisation for future jobs in due course. The architect for a particular job will be selected from the Empanelled list after competitive bidding process. The panel will be valid for a period of 3 years from the date of approval. Interested parties may forward the application in the prescribed format along with the required documents/details to Deputy General Manager (Engg), FACT Engineering and Design Organisation (FEDO), Udyogamandal, Kochi - 683501. The last date for the receipt of application is 13.05.13. GENERAL NOTES: 1. Applications and envelops should be superscribed in bold letter as APPLICATION FOR EMPANELMENT OF ARCHITECT. 2. The empanelment will be valid for three years from the date of empanelment. 3. FEDO reserves the right to reject any/all applications without assigning any reasons whatsoever at its absolute discretion. 4. The applicants who will be empanelled will be informed of their empanelment in due course. 5. From the panel of Architects, an Architect for a particular job will be selected by FEDO after a competitive bidding process. For this, the empanelled Architects will be directly informed of the Tender notice for the jobs. The interested Architects shall forward their most competitive bids as per the terms and conditions of the Tender documents. After evaluating the offers received, the Architect for the job will be selected. 6. Mere empanelment does not confer any right on any of the parties to receive invitation to bid at a later date. 7. The company does not take the responsibility for receipt of intimation of Tender Notice by the empanelled Architect. 8. Separate sheets may be attached for furnishing details indicating the relevant item number in the application form, if necessary. 9. The applicant shall furnish further documentary evidence, clarifications, if required by FEDO, in support of his eligibility. 10. All the documents submitted shall be signed & stamped by the Architect.

PREQUALIFICATION CRITERIA FOR ARCHITECTS FOR CIVIL/INTERIOR WORK

The tenderer should satisfy any one of the following criteria for projects satisfactorily completed during the last 7 years ending 31st March 2013, for architectural services/ interior work as given below in the tabular form :

The tenderer should be in the field since last five years. (Attested photo copies of original documents showing the legal status, place of registration should be enclosed). It is desirable that minimum 50% of the key professional staff proposed shall be employees of the consulting firm. permanent

Proposed professional staff must have at least the experience indicated in the table below Alternative professional staff shall not be proposed and only one Curriculum vitae (CV) be submitted for each key staff position. Except as the client may otherwise agree, no changes shall be made in the Key personnel. If, for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Consultants, it becomes necessary to replace any of the Key personnel, the consultants shall forthwith provide as a replacement a person of equivalent or better qualifications with prior written approval from the client. The tenderer should have valid Service Tax Number/PAN/Sales Tax/WCT/TAN/VAT/EPF Code No. (Attested photocopies to be attached). The tenderer should have sufficient manpower and resources to carry out such works. (Details of key personnel on roll and their qualification and experiences to be furnished). In addition to the above, the tenderer has to submit the following documents/informations. i) Information of any litigation in which the tenderer was involved during the last seven years including any current litigation. Copies of registration with other organizations.

Note: Even though the tenderer may satisfy the above requirements, he would be liable to disqualifications, if he has:a) Made misleading or false representation or deliberately suppressed the information in the forms, statements and enclosures. Record of poor performance such as abandoning the work, not properly completing the contract or financial failures/weaknesses etc.

SCOPE OF WORK FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES IN CIVIL WORK INCLUDING INTERIOR WORK (indicative only).

The following items of work are deemed to be included in the scope of Architect.

1) Site evaluation and analysis 2) Layout of the facilities /Master Plan 3) General arrangement drawings of buildings/ structures(Plan, section & Elevations) 4) Drawings required to be submitted for statutory approval 5) Door & Window schedule & specification 6) Schedule of finishes for walls, floor & Ceiling. 7) Specification for special architectural finishes if any 8) Sanitary, plumbing, drainage, water supply and sewerage design 9) Electrical, electronic, communication systems design. 10) Sound and acoustic design 11) Heating, ventilation and air conditioning design (HVAC) and other mechanical systems. 12) Design of fixed items of work, loose furniture and interior related works. 13) Graphic design and signage. 14) Indoor plants cape. 15) Elevators, escalators etc 16) Fire detection, Fire protection and security systems 17) Drawing for compound wall, gate and name board 18) Specification for landscaping and horticulture works. 19) Monthly visit for evaluation of Construction work.
