Residents: Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Chaplain: There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. Residents: God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Chaplain: Come and see what the LORD has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. Residents: He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear he burns the shields with fire. Chaplain: He says, Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Residents: THE LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Chaplain: And all the people said: All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!

Response Reading: On the Other Side of the Hard Trial Chaplain: Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. Residents: And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. Chaplain: It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I might learn your statutes. Response Reading: Faith Chaplain: God is our refuge and strength, Residents: a very present help in trouble. Chaplain: Yahweh is good, Residents: a stronghold in the day of trouble: All: He knows those who take refuge in Him. Chaplain: Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Residents: For he who comes to God must believe He exists, and rewards those who diligently seek Him. Chaplain: So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by All: the word of God. Let us have faith in God!

Response Reading: Gods Forgiveness Chaplain: If we confess our sins, Residents: He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Chaplain: Cast your burden on Yahweh, and He will sustain you: Residents: He will never permit the righteous to be moved. Chaplain: Come to Me, all you who are weary and weighed down with heavy burdens, Residents: and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in spirit.
