z Other Prerequisites
Downlink TCP accelerator requires that the BSC6900 version is RAN11.0 or later.
Uplink TCP accelerator requires that the BSC6900 version is RAN12.0 or later.
Cnntcxt
The TCP Accelerator Ieature in RAN11.0 optimizes the data transmission perIormance in the
downlink.
Based on this Ieature in RAN11.0, RAN12.0 introduces the TCP Accelerator Ieature to optimize
the data transmission in the uplink. In addition, the Acknowledgment (ACK) splitting
technology, ACK splitting monitoring technology, and uplink data packet sequencing
technology are adopted. These technologies aim at accelerating the slow start and restore
processes during uplink data transmission, reducing the impact oI packet loss on the perIormance
oI uplink TCP data transmission.

1. Run the BSC6900 MML command 6(78'38&)*'$7$ to turn on the TCP
accelerator switch. In this step, select 73(B'2:1/,1.B6:,7&+ or
73(B83/,1.B6:,7&+ Irom 73(VZLWFK according to the actual requirements.
z VeriIication Procedure
1. Run the BSC6900 MML command /678'38&)*'$7$ to check whether the
TCP accelerator switch is turned on. II the switch is turned on, this Ieature has been
activated.
2. Use a test terminal to download a Iile oI 200 KB Irom the FTP server. Then, compare
the download time taken beIore and aIter the 73(B'2:1/,1.B6:,7&+ is turned
on.
3. Use a test terminal to upload a Iile oI 200 KB to the FTP server. Then, compare the
upload time taken beIore and aIter the 73(B83/,1.B6:,7&+ is turned on.
z Deactivation Procedure
1. Run the BSC6900 MML command 6(78'38&)*'$7$ to turn oII the TCP
accelerator switch. In this step, deselect 73(B'2:1/,1.B6:,7&+ or
73(B83/,1.B6:,7&+ Irom 73(VZLWFK according to the actual requirements.
