Unified Site Management System: Unified Site Management System is to monitor and manage power

equipment and environmental parameters in unattended base stations. It changes the passive repair mode into active preventive mode. 1. System Introduction With the rapid development of ICT technology, the operators have to bear more and more O&M work, and are eager to improve the site management efficiency and O&M management, so that they can get more profits with less investments. Generally, the operators have huge number of sites, limited transmission resources, many diversified power devices, unstable commercial power, poor site environment, and none-on-duty at site. Therefore, device faults cannot be discovered or solved in time, more importantly the bad service quality of communication system will dissatisfy end-users. The operators are very longing for a unified site management system for all sites. So how to manage site and get first hand alarm become imminent and urgent. Unified Site Management System (USMS), designed for different sites of different operators, can remotely monitor external alarms, mains AC, communication power system, battery, solar power, diesel generator, air-conditioner, environmental parameters (such as temperature, humidity, smoke, fire, access control) in real time and offer asset management and theft resistance. The system can utilize all transmission resources and present high efficiency with few investments. 2. System Structure This system consists of supervision center, transmission network and supervision sites.

Typical System Networking

Supervision site has supervision modules, sensors/transducers and DVR/DVS to collect power supply data, environmental parameters and videos and then send to supervision center. Meanwhile, it will accept and execute commands from supervision center. Supervision center is established on LAN. It has database server, power supply and environment application server, service consoles, multimedia console, front-end PC and network access equipment to collect power supply data, environmental parameters and real-time videos, analyze and process all information and control the remote supervised equipment and modules. The supervision data can be transmitted via E1, E1 timeslot, TCP/IP, duty channel, HDSL, PSTN, GPRS, CDMA 1x and SMS between the supervision sites and supervision center.
