Work done during Ph.D.

I have been engaged in the measurement of adsorption and movement of pesticides and related compounds in soil environment during Ph.D. Large scale studies on interaction of pesticides and related compounds have been carried out in the soils of different agroclimatic regions of the country. In India only few systematic studies have been undertaken and our region and some other regions lag far behind. Our studies include the movement of carbofuran, endosulphan, chorpyriphos, cypermethrin, deltamethrin and fenvelarate in many Indian soils. I have also made the measurements of adsorption of these pesticides in different Indian soils.
