Specific IB requirements for Architecture (based on university websites 2011-12 and previous conidtional offers received by CIS applicants

2011 & 2012. This is not an exhaustive list. It is the responsibility of the students to check the most up-to-date requirements from the university prospectuses/websites. U of Bath (4 yrs sandwich) U of Cambridge Cardiff U (5 yr sandwich) U of Dundee Architectural Studies: 38 pts with 6 in Maths HL or a 7 in Maths SL (not studies). Architecture: Acceptable on its own and combined with other qualifications. 40-42 points with 7,7, 6 or 7,7,7 plus Art Portfolio and interview. Desirable: Maths & Physics SL Architectural Studies: 35 pts with good portfolio req. (A mix of an Art or Design subject and a Maths or Science subject.) Archiecture: 30 pts with 5,5,5 including English at HL and Maths or Physics at SL grade 4 Art Portfolio to be submitted in electronic form. Architecture: 27 pts Architectural Design: 34 pts with 5,5,5 HL. Must have a minimum SL Mathematics at grade 5. Math. Studies at grade 6, English at 4, and a lang. Other than English at 4 Architectural Studies: 30 pts with English plus Maths or Physics and Visual Arts or Design Tech. Portfolio interview (10-15 pieces of work: sketchbooks, drwing, observational drawings, designs journals illustrating the design process, sculpture, 3D works, etc.) Architecture: 33 pts including 17 pts at HL with Maths at grade 4 & English A1 HL/A1/A2/B at 4/5/5 or English SL A1/A2/B at 5/6/6. Including HL Art 5 or SL 6 as portfolio. Architecture: admissions-info@kingston.ac.uk. Acceptable on its own and combined with other qualifications. Art Portfolio is required. Architecture: 38 pts including a 6 in Art or Design HL Architecture: Acceptable on its own and combined with other qualifications. Architecture: 33 pts with 6,6,5, at HL. A Mathematical subject and Art at HL are desirable but not essential Architecture: Space & Objects: Acceptable on its own & combined with other qualifications Architecture: Interior & Spatial Design: Acceptable on its own & combined with other qualifications Architecture: 36 pts including with 17 pts in three HL subjects to include Art with no score lower than a 5 A portfolio of work (at inteview stage) is also required. Architectural Studies: 34 pts including English, Mathematics at HL 5 Candidates likely to fulfill the entry requirements will normally be invited to interview and asked to submit a portfolio. The portfolio should contain examples of a range of work providing evidence to indicate creative and artistic ability. Architecture: 37 pts. Evidence of art or design ability is necessary. Art Portfolio is required. Architecture: Acceptable on its own and combined with other qualifications. Art is req. HL. Architectural Technology and Design: 24-28 pts Architecture and Planning: 24-32 pts Architecture: 35 pts. Portfolio required.
