Get Built is a building solution company that practices noninvasive and sustainable construction; we strive to eliminate all waste at the jobsite and at the factory. We strive to bring you the latest and most reliable green construction methods; together we can promote and practice sustainable construction that supports better healthier societies. EXCAVATION and SITE PREPARATION

These pictures show sites that are ready for us to build on, nothing more needs to be done in order for us to start erecting the walls and roof on any of these properties. The ground has been raised on both these sites and compacted.
This is the ideal situation the grass is short and the native soils have not been disturbed; this site is ready for us to build on. We will not disturb the soil or the grass. This is how noninvasive construction starts.

We can build on top of the roof or terrace of your existing home. We can build roof extensions; side, front or back extensions.

We can build on a concrete slab.

We can build on traditional foundations like these.

This is a sample of invasive construction which is often practiced in many regions of the world.

The Get Built construction system, COMPOSITE CEMENT PLASTER PANELS and our FLOATING FOUNDATION SYSTEM promote a level of environmentally sustainable noninvasive construction that is not possible with other systems of construction.

In the picture above these buildings have a floating foundation that sits on top of the grass. Our special floating foundation system supports the building while floating on top of the ground; it is anchored in place by a combination of unique techniques. Floating foundation systems are safe and have stood the test of time; floating foundations have been in continuous use for hundreds of years all around the world and in all types of harsh environments. Evidence supporting, explaining and promoting floating foundations/footings is available on line and from your local engineer. This side of the picture shows This side of the picture shows how the bottom of how the bottom of the walls are the walls are sitting directly on the grass or sitting directly on top of a original grade using a special floating foundation concrete slab (not shown).

System Introduction
The Get Built system can be used in the creation of all types of 1floor or 2 floor tall buildings (ground plus 1st floor), infill or partition walls, compound walls or fences, retaining walls, tanks, security and privacy walls and almost all types of commercial, residential, agriculture and emergency structures.

A step by step explanation of the system.

1. A building site is made ready; our buildings can be built on a grassy field that is relatively flat, a roof top, a traditional foundation or on a concrete slab. 2. The Composite Cement Plaster Panels are manufactured. 3. The panels are transported to the site.

4. The panels are placed in position. 5. The Composite Cement Plaster Panels are snapped together to create walls.

6. The building is created by connecting the walls to each other. The building is anchored or fastened to the grass, foundation, rooftop, or concrete slab with our special floating foundation system (not shown).

7. The supper insulated Composite Cement Plaster Roof Panels are fastened in place. 8. Electrical conduit and plumbing pipes can be concealed in the wall panels at the jobsite or at the factory.

9. The walls and ceilings are plastered. 10. The roofing material is installed; the roof may be concrete, galvanized metal or other material. 11. If the building was built on the ground using our special floating foundation system, the rough in electrical wiring and rough in plumbing is completed at this time; before the fill dirt or sand used to raise the floor slab is brought inside and compacted then the floor slab is constructed. 12. The rest of the building is completed; doors, windows, flooring, painting, electrical and plumbing fixtures, cabinets and trim and finishes are installed.

Fences & Compound Walls

The Get Built Construction System is the ideal system for creating strong permanent outdoor walls, fences, compound walls and retaining walls. The Composite Cement Plaster Panels are designed to span between concrete pillars eliminating the need to create continues footings and foundations. We make it possible for customers to choose to promote noninvasive construction techniques that are not possible with other types of construction systems.

Our fences and compound walls feature these advantages compared to some traditional methods of construction. Our walls have strong reinforced concrete columns (pillars) every few meters (feet) along the length of the wall; these solid concrete columns have heavy gauge reinforcing steel and provide added strength and support to the walls; they help keep the walls from tipping, leaning or falling over during high winds, earthquakes and other disasters.

Our walls can be built up to 70 times faster and require less labor. Our walls block noise better so you have more privacy. Our compound walls and fences last almost indefinitely, continue to look good year after year and require no maintenance. It takes up to 80% less nonrenewable resources to create our walls compared to a masonry, rubble or concrete wall. Our walls resist cracking, tipping and crumbling so they look better year after year. Our walls are better for the environment, and no waste is generated in the building process. Our walls do not require continues underground foundations, plinths or extensive earthwork.

We build Fences and outdoor walls that can be used as; compound walls, security walls, screening walls, privacy walls, sound barrier walls, boundary walls, retaining walls, ornamental walls,

agricultural crop cattle and animal fences, inmate refugee event or child containment and traffic control walls. Our walls can be used as; hedges, railings, enclosures, screens, palings and balustrades.

Roof Top Homes

Roof top or terrace homes In Many regions of the world homes are built with flat roofs or terraces;

People often plan on someday building an extension or addition on the flat roof. Today is the someday you have been waiting for.

Our super lightweight rooftop homes provide the ideal solution to provide extra room for whatever reasons you have for requiring more room Marriages Rental income family members need to be closer consolidation growth storage office hobby or work space. Look at our plans and pick a home design that will fit on your roof, or we can build you a custom design.

Disasters earthquakes, hurricanes: No one likes to think about disasters but they are a reality. Roofs and walls of traditionally built concrete and masonry homes often collapse; causing incalculable devastation and destruction of entire communities. Our Composite Cement Plaster Panel construction system creates supper strong lightweight roofs and walls that are earthquake and disaster safe.

Save money on electricity for the life of the building; in many areas families cant afford airconditioning or they are only able to run the air conditioner for a short time because it is so costly to cool their home. If you buy our home you will find that it is up to 90% cheaper to cool or heat our supper insulated home than a masonry, concrete and brick home that is not insulated. This means your family can stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter all the time for less money. Save money on repairs and maintenance costs throughout the life of the building. Our homes are more durable, they are built better, built stronger and our homes are less susceptible to cracking, sinking, settling, corroding (having rebar rust and swell and break the plaster). Call us if you want a roof that wont leak and a building that doesnt fall apart? Comfort; because our homes are supper insulated, your home will be much more comfortable even if you do not use air-conditioning or heating. Your family will be healthier because your home will be cooler in the summer and warmer in winter. The supper insulation on our roofs will block the heat from the burning summer sun; your family will stay cool and comfortable every summer, forever. Because your children live in a home that is quieter, healthier and more comfortable, they will be able to focus better on their studies. Our homes are more comfortable and quieter then brick and masonry homes. Increase your privacy with insulated doors and windows. When you build a brick, concrete or masonry home, construction costs often run over budget and projects often take longer than expected to complete; we offer you a chance to be confident about the final cost, and completion date of your new home; we guarantee that the price quoted is the price you pay. Warranty: we provide 2 year free warrantee on the structure and on our labor*. Reliability of our service; we provide friendly trustworthy and reliable service. We get your job finished. You dont have to worry about a contractor starting your job and then disappearing. In most cases your project will be completed in 1-7 days. Our prices are competitive; in regions where labor is inexpensive our structures may cost more than traditional masonry structures; but they are less expensive in other regions and always less expensive than homes with equal quality and features. We cant match prices of inferior masonry and concrete homes that are often unsafe and built without insulation. High quality product: our parts are made in factories to strict industry standards with the highest degree of quality. When you purchase a home from us, you are receiving unparalleled quality and reliability. In many countries bricks and blocks are often made in small factories; they are not usually tested or manufactured to local or international standards, often they are manufactured to inferior grades because the owners of the small factories want to save money by shorting cement. These inferior building materials become the walls and foundations of masonry structures. Durable: our homes are built with plaster, (ESP) expanded poly styrene, concrete, galvanized metals, fiberglass and other synthetic materials; these materials in the right combination will last almost indefinitely. Our homes will not become obsolete or too costly to operate, and most likely you will not be required to remodel or update your home in years to come, to meet new energy codes. We have several stock energy efficient lifestyle home designs to choose from, these designs represent the biggest savings. We also build custom homes.

We can build a new home on your flat roof in a few days. If you have us build an insulated home on your roof you will find that your existing home will be cooler in summer and warmer in winter. We also insulate existing roofs, call for a free quote. Our homes look like other buildings, all surfaces inside and outside have stucco or plaster finishes on the walls and ceilings. In many countries people are used to seeing concrete plaster (stucco) on the walls and ceilings; this is universally recognized as the most durable permanent type of surface covering. Our walls can support cabinets, pictures and all the other types of things people normally fasten to their walls. The homes are fire rated; they are built with fire proof and fire resistant materials. Our smaller homes designs are especially suited for small spaces, rooftops, small lots, and hard to reach building sites. We practice noninvasive construction. We may be the only manufacturer who is able to provide this valuable and environmentally responsible service. We enable you to save money and save the environment by eliminating a majority of the site preparation tasks. Most times it is only necessary to clear bushes and shrubs from the area where you want to build. It may not be necessary to dig any holes or trenches or remove grass and soil. We have almost eliminated construction and manufacturing waste (garbage) at the jobsite and at the factory. Our buildings help reduce the demand on existing infrastructures, in many areas our homes are the only homes being built that will help reduce the need for communities to build more power plants (electric generating stations). It is usually not necessary to remove or treat questionable soils. Your new structure can most likely be erected directly on back cotton soil, expansive soils, soft soils, sand and rocky soils, and other problematic soil types. Saving the environment; our buildings are environmentally responsible and sustainable. Most traditional buildings are built with steel, crushed stone, sand, brick, block and cement; products made from nonrenewable resources that require huge amounts of energy to mine refine, transport and process. Our construction system can reduce the use of non-renewable resources by up to 80%. The benefits of reducing the use of nonrenewable resources, is monumental and represents an incredible benefit to any society.

There are other advantages to building sustainable homes regardless of who is supplying the materials or who is building the structures. Our goal is to encourage each person and developer who is considering building a structure to build with a sense of responsibility and accountability. We offer a sustainable insulated alternative to the type of construction shown in the photo below.

Readers from countries and regions that encourage modern sustainable construction may question why people still build with archaic methods of construction. They often dont have a choice because other options are not available plus here are a few other reasons why people are still building uninsulated masonry and concrete structures with 8-24 inch thick walls and cast concrete roofs. Cheaper materials with low cost labor make this method of construction the preferred choice for under developed or developing countries. Lack of other options or other materials, cost of other options and materials, individuals are not aware of other options, dont care about other options. The incalculable benefits of insulated buildings and reducing the use of nonrenewable resources are not often promoted by governments, architects, builders or engineers. people from under developed or developing countries equate heavy thick masonry walls and cast roofs as being stronger and lasting longer than other forms of construction even though evidence proves otherwise. People feel secure if heavy thick walls made from brick, stone, rubble or block are used to create the peripheries of their living and working quarters. For the majority of people from different cultures, it is a very important for any number of reasons to have thick solid masonry walls and cast roofs. (Perceptions, tradition, education, habit, custom, acceptance, fear, difficulty in comprehend or understand anything else) It may be of interest to some readers to learn that up to 60% of structures built with traditional masonry construction techniques are in need of structural repair and many are unsafe to occupy according to published government reports.

We build modern structures that are designed to last, they are strong permanent - fire proof and protect against earthquakes and other disasters. The Get Built construction system

is noninvasive, sustainable, eliminates construction waste and reduces the need to use nonrenewable resources like cement, steel and stone by as much as 80%; fully insulated buildings have less impact on a communitys infrastructure, and reduce a communitys dependency on fossil fuels.

Conclusions
We primarily occupy residential and commercial buildings for our living and working spaces. Urban consolidation requires multi-level buildings which are more vulnerable to the effects of earthquakes. The most common structural system for both residential and commercial buildings consists of single and multi-level framed structures incorporating columns-slabs-beams which are the gravity and lateral load carrying elements. Infill or partition walls are built in between the columns and beams of the structural framework.

In underdeveloped and developing countries most buildings are constructed with a RC (reinforced concrete) framework. The spaces between the columns and beams are filled with unreinforced or reinforced masonry infill walls. These are pictures of masonry infill walls typical of the type being built in developing and undeveloped countries.

Some reasons people use masonry materials for standard wall construction and infill wall construction. * Cheaper materials with low cost labor make masonry the preferred choice for under developed or developing countries. * Lack of other options, cost of other options, not aware of other options, customers or builders care most about price.

* Engineers, architects planers and governments arent requiring, specifying or promoting other options.

Engineers, architects planers, governments, contractors, builders, insurance companies and the client using the building often do not consider, or place enough influence on the issues to enact change. Issues like; life safety, the added costs of heating and cooling uninsulated structures, the costs of repairs and replacement of faulty structures, the vast amounts of energy required to minerefinetransport cement, steel, crushed stone, brick and block, or how the continued creation of these types of structures shapes a societies future.

Why is the use of bricks, mortar, and blocks as a primary building material rapidly diminishing and almost disappearing in developing or developed countries?

Acceptance, education, understanding and availability of other materials and systems. Consideration and comparison of all the facts by builders, architects, engineers and governing boards have determined that other materials are more desirable. Facts like Cost, Strength, Insulation Properties, Sound Transmission, Environmental Impact, Transportation, Construction Time, Labor, Bank loans & Interest, Average length of time to sell inventory, Life safety and comfort issues. The cost to build foundations and columns, beams; structures that are strong enough to support the weight of masonry walls (brick, mortar and block) is substantially higher, than the cost to create the same structure that only needs to support walls that weigh up to 70% less than masonry walls. Diminishing availability of skilled labor, materials, time and money. The extended construction time required to build structures with brick, block and mortar. If the materials are not engineered or installed correctly complete failure of the structure with loss of life is a very real threat.

Engineering and technical facts Often, engineers do not consider masonry infill walls in the design process because the final distribution of these elements may be unknown to them, or because masonry walls are regarded as non-structural elements. Separation between masonry walls and frames is often not provided and, as a consequence, walls and frames interact during strong ground motion. This leads to structural response deviating radically from what is expected in the design. The reason for extensive damage and loss of life is because the masonry infills placed in framed structures, due to their stiffness, causes change in structural behavior of such structures. The use of masonry infill walls located in between columns of reinforced concrete framed structures plays a major role in the damage and collapse of buildings during earthquakes. The falling masonry walls are also the major factor for loss of life during earthquakes. The shortcomings of masonry infill walls is well documented and well known. It is now a recognized fact that the presence of masonry infill walls is one of the major reasons of causing the collapse or damage to building structures during an earthquake. Masonry infill walls are often not secured properly to the frame of structures and their influence on structural behavior is overlooked in the design and construction practice.

Worldwide experience clearly indicates that the masonry infill walls have a significant effect on the collapse of buildings, loss of life, and the failure of masonry infill walls at any level contributes to the failure of the entire framed structure.

CONCLUSION Depleting resources, energy costs, increasing population, worldwide urbanization and many other reasons require us to use sustainable and renewable building material in the creation of insulated single and multi-level buildings. It is the responsibility of consumers and all parties involved with the planning, design and construction to advocate for safer buildings that are energy efficient and to use fewer nonrenewable resources in their construction. Ultimately the solutions are an important issue the people and the governments face.

As the world's population continues to grow, so does the importance of sustainable buildings that promote sustainable healthy lifestyles. Sustainable building materials must be made available and used in the creation of sustainable structures.
