Supplier Inspector Location

Position Reports To: Primary Objective

Inspection Services Manager Location Or Quality Manager Projects

Undertake service and product verification and inspection in accordance with contract specifications and pre-requisite regulatory obligations.

Specific Accountabilities
1. OneWay (HSE Management) Demonstrate behaviour and practices consistent with personal, co-worker and community duty of care obligations. Work with suppliers to ensure that inspection and test activities are undertaken in conformance with applicable WorleyParsons, regulatory and contractual HSE obligations.

2. Supply Quality Management Work with the Inspection Services Manager Location, Project Quality Managers, project teams and suppliers to ensure relevant process controls and prerequisite product and service verification and inspection arrangements are established for each scope of supply consistent with criticality, statutory and contractual obligations. Typically this will entail: Review of contract terms and specifications to ensure clear understanding of technical requirements and prerequisite verification and certification requirements. Undertake and/or coordinate technical review of supplier data submissions typically including; quality plans, process and personnel qualifications and manufacturing records and certification. Chair or attend and record pre-inspection meetings when specified by the Supplier Inspection Coordinator and follow-up implementation and close-out of agreed actions. Witness of supplier process and personnel qualification tests in accordance with specification requirements. Witness/review of supplier (first party) inspection and test activities and records in accordance with specification/code requirements in accordance with approved inspection and test plans. Competently undertake and document WorleyParsons (second party) inspection and test activities as specified in approved inspection and test plans. Facilitate customer or independent (Third Party) verification activities as specified in agreed inspection and test plans. Monitor supplier technical query and design change control processes. Monitor supplier non-conformance and corrective action processes, and where necessary, raise non-conformance notes and facilitate disposition of non-conforming products and services. Facilitate review of final manufacturing data reports and inspection release. Analyse and report on supplier performance for input into supplier re-qualification and management review processes.

3. Capability Enhancement Support the global quality learning community initiative to enable quality professionals to communicate with each other and receive updates on latest developments. Determine areas of potential improvement in supplier quality management processes. 4. Customer Relationships In conjunction with the Supplier Inspection coordinator ensure that customer quality management requirements and concerns regarding supplier performance are being identified and managed effectively.

Familiar with ISO 9000 QMS requirements and conversant with applicable industry standards and specification such as ISO, ASME, ANSI, API, AWS, NACE, NEMA etc. Ensure that all the relevant project specific procedures, QC Plans, drawings, test procedures, approved technical queries, data sheets, reference project specifications and standards Carry out inspection of raw materials such as, castings and forgings of valve components Witness laboratory test such as, mechanical test, corrosion test, macro examination, etc Carry out welding inspection, dimensional check, TCC coating and inspection of valve components, where required by ITP Monitor assembly of valve components and internal tests Checks preparation for pressure test of valves. Ensure all safety precautions are in place Carryout in-process and final inspection of valves and its components in accordance with the approved Inspection and test Plan, project specific procedures, drawings, standards and to assure product Quality in a timely manner Witness/Review/Conduct actuators Carry out inspection of coating of valves Checks preservation and packing of valves for shipping Issue Field Inspection Report on every inspection notification of activities. Issue Inspection Release Note after final inspection Appraises product quality in accordance with the Purchase Orders/Purchase Requisitions, Technical Specifications and Quality Plans Exercise a proactive approach in prevention of a problem by interaction with Project Quality Manager, QA Engineer, Package manager/engineer, Discipline Engineer, Project Engineers, Procurement personnel etcConduct Internal Audits as required to assess the effectiveness of Vendor Quality System Receive, review/study inspection assignment package prior to pre-inspection meeting. Review Lessons Learned website prior to start of work Identify change and progress issues if any and liaise with Package Manager and Project Quality Manager Attend Pre-Inspection Meetings, Kick-off meeting, Pre-production meetings etc...as required All Inspection shall be carried out based on approved documents as per the updated latest SDRL issued by the document control Inspection and Test plan shall be signed off for the inspections he has witnessed/performed and a Field Inspection Report (FIR) shall be prepared for the same. All Inspection results needs to be documented and if any non-conformances exist documentation shall be raised to establish corrective action and close out When In process inspections are carried out and inspector identifies outstanding work, this shall be recorded in a punchlist format and shall be attached to the field inspection report/Inspection release photographs/test reports to be attached as required Monitor the document requirements of the project from the beginning to as it progresses to the final data dossier in accordance with the previously agreed data dossier index
