Evaluation Summary for On-the-job training in Informatics International College Diliman

On 11th of April, 2013 the OJT students had an orientation about the tasks that will be assigning to each OJT students. After the orientation we grouped into two groups, Synermax and Informatics Diliman according to their skill assessment and evaluation. They were asked to check the specs of each computer in the technical room in Informatics. First week (April 15 to April 20), first task we assigned for Informatics group were to reformat and install software in all computers in Jobs Room. We are also assigned to clean all the computers in Byron and Jobs Room. Formatting of computers in Gates Room, finishing all the tasks in Byron and Jobs Room and cleaning all the monitors in all the computer labs in Informatics. Second week (April 22 to April 27), Mr. Robert Ching the official technician supervisor of Informatics Diliman introduced the Informatics Diliman Online Enrollment System. For six consecutive days they were assigned to encode all the subject code, subject description and the professor for each subject code. On 27th of April 2013, We assigned to tabulate for Binibining Unibersidad in AFP Theater. Third week (April 29 to May 04), setting up the Gates, Byron and Torvalds Room, rewiring and cleaning the technical room were done. Counting the number of the pliers, rewiring and changing the IP address and general cleaning in all computer laboratories were their tasks for the last three consecutive days of the week. Fourth week (May 06 to May 10), OJT students were asked to attend the DOST Training held in Taguig City. After the training, they went to Asian Foundation in Makati City for requesting of books. Three OJT students from Informatics group were assigned in Gates Professional Schools, sister school of Informatics International College Diliman. Rewiring and networking of computer laboratory in Gates for two consecutive days. Fifth week (May 13 to May 17), for three consecutive days they were asked to helped the Marketing Team of Gates Professional Schools in promoting the said school through visiting nearby barangays, posting tarpaulin in every barangays and giving flyers. Though this is not a task as CoE OJT students, this task helped to enhance their Public Relation skills. On 16th of May to 17th of May 2013, they were asked to check all the computers in administration office and specifically in computer laboratory in Gates for the preparation of CHED visitation on 20th of May 2013. Sixth week (May 20 to May 24), CHED visits Gates Professional Schools for the certification of the BS Entrepreneurship. Ms. Nelly Agpawa from DOST introduced to them the SILMS (ScINet-Phil Integrated Management Library System). The SILMS manage all library holdings of Gates Professional Schools. For the whole week they were assigned to encode all the library holdings of Gates Professional Schools.
