Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIMI) is pleased to announce the Fifth edition of Faculty Development Programme (FDP) - 2013. FDP aims at professional development of management teachers, researchers, and practitioners. The major focus of FDP is on upgrading the teaching, training, content development, and research skills of participants. FDP is designed as a specialized programme for career development of various management faculties. The programme enables the participants to develop competence in general management, understand recent advances in management research, and learn to improve pedagogies, effective presentation techniques, and behavioral skills to be an effective management faculty. The programme is managed by a mix of faculty from IIMI as well as guest faculty from industry and other institutions for an intensive exposure to research, writing, teaching, training, and industry trends.

TARGET AUDIENCE
A potential participant would be management teacher, trainer, researcher employed in management schools, university departments, degree colleges, professional institutes, training centers of business enterprises, staff training institutes of central and state governments. The programme is especially helpful for participants, who teach management and allied subjects like commerce, human resource and labor relations, organizational behavior, marketing, statistics, operations, economics, banking, finance, computer applications, strategy, sociology etc.

PROGRAMME DESIGN
Programme contents spread over a host of fields of management, where main purpose is to provide conceptual clarity, contextual familiarity, and contemporary content update. Particular emphasis is given to philosophy of management, new technologies, use of innovative instructional approaches, design and development of learning resources etc. Institution building, creative leadership, and management wisdom of ancient texts add to the uniqueness of the programme. The course is typically divided in to six modules: Module 1: Perspective on Management Education Module 2: Communication and Behavioral Skills Module 3: Pedagogy and Curriculum Development Module 4: Research Methodology & Reporting Module 5: Experience Sharing by Faculty Module 6: ERE Conference and Field Visits

5th Conference on Excellence in Research and Education (EREC) FDP-2013 also offers a unique participation opportunity in the 5th Conference on Excellence in Research and Education 2013, to be held during May 09 -12, 2013. The purpose of the Conference is to sensitize researchers with latest advances in respective research domains and promote research in academic institutions. It also provides an opportunity to the participants to interact with experts from educational institutions, industry and research organizations to get a direction for their research work.

PROGRAMME FEE
The fee for 9-week FDP is Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only) plus Service Tax as applicable. At present the tax rate is 12.36%. The programme fee includes tuition fee, cost of course material, access to library during the programme, meals and residential facilities on IIMI campus. However, travel, medical, personal, and all other expenses have to be borne by the participants. Participants are advised to make medical insurance arrangements in advance. The applicant must have a teaching experience of at least two-years full time at the Graduate or PostGraduate level in management related subjects.
