We went to our Bogo Outreach and conducted the Free to Follow the Lord Weekend held at the Main Conference Room, North Homes, Bogo City. were exchanged and the small chika-chika groups that convened after the breakfast. One sister commented, We should have more of this kind of gathering. Everybody around her agreed. Big assembly of brothers and sisters, like the sectoral breakfast, is an occasion to look forward. It inspires, reconnects and builds up the community membership. It also gathers more people to God. Be there the next time it happens.

Lito and Emily Rodriguez, a beautiful young couple from Ormoc, were the sharers on that special breakfast fellowship. Lito is the Formation Director of Ormoc Chapter. The couple sharer inspired many of the breakfasters as they proclaimed Gods faithfulness; of God giving them strength to overcome their struggles. cussion was done. The participants were asked to share their realization of the talk. Prior to Talk #3, Orly Manuel conducted the Prayer of Deliverance to the participants. Talk #3 - Managing Our Time was given by Gel Sanchez. After the talk, a short workshop was conducted to help the participants identify their priorities in using their God given time. Talk #4 Managing our Resources was given by Mar Members listen to UL Elpie Calayag giving Tamidles. Like the previous a talk talk a short workshop was also conducted. Some participants got a negative result of their net income. Mar guided them how to make it positive. He gave them the same challenge that AMD Nelson Dauz challenged Mactan members If you did not receive more blessings than what you gave as tithing to the community, we will refund your tithe at the end of the year. Mar as chapter treasurer of Mactan concluded, that everybody received more, as nobody asked for refund last December. Mactan CH Guy Ceniza wrapped up and closed the Free to Follow the Lord weekend activity. Glory and praise to God, who made the Bogo weekend retreat possible and successful!

Catholicism Study Program Continues

The fourth session of the Catholic Study Program was done at St. Therese chapel, IAU, on June 28, 2013. MD Tex Bulambot led the praise and worship while CH Guy Ceniza gave a short background of the DVD series to be shown. The two DVD series viewed are: The Holy Eucharist and The Saints. In between the two viewings was a discussion on the value of the Holy Eucharist. The lively discussion by action groups stirred those in attendance into a deeper understanding of the sacrament and its value to Catholic believers. The DVD on the Saints showed the lives of four women saints namely: St.

Katharine Drexel, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Edith Stein and St. Teresa of Calcuta. Fr. Robert Baron, creator and host of Catholicism, narrates of the heroic virtues of these saints and how they allowed Christ to live in them.

Fathers Get Special Blessing at the Breakfast

The joint breakfast fellowship on June 14, 2013, turned out to be a special day for the men in the community. By Gods providence two priests, Fr. Martin and Fr. Peter (Spiritans) attended the breakfast fellowship. After the inspiring sharing of Ed and Heidz Cabaluna of Mandaue chapter, all the fathers, priest and lay alike, were honored in an advance celebration of Fathers Day. The men were given chocolates and were privileged to be blessed in a special prayer offered by Fr. Martin and Fr. Peter.

With wines provided for the men only, a toast was raised while greetings of Happy Fathers Day were passed around. All praise and glory to the almighty Father!

How do we Pray at Mass The Eucharist is the perfect prayer, where we meet a live Christ. The Mass is actually divided into two parts. 1. First, is the reading of scriptural passages, taken from the Old and New Testaments. 2. The second part is the Consecration where the priest, by the authority of Jesus, changes the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus. By the action of the priest when repeating the same words Jesus uttered during the Last Supper, the fullness of Jesus is made present - his body, soul and divinity - during consecration. The Mass provides us with the privilege of receiving the actual physical Body of Christ, the very same one who died 2,000 years ago on the cross. Through the gift of the Eucharist, Jesus Allows us to come in direct contact with him.

If you are humble, nothing will touch you, neither praise nor disgrace, because you know what you are. Humility is the only virtue the devil cannot imitate.

Anyone therefore, who is in marriage should not seek to opt out, but would rather work for the continuity and restoration of the presence of God in their union through listening to the sound advice of the Church, an instrument of Gods mission on earth.

In the Christian context and in common sense and sociologically, marriage means Trinitarian; stability, progress and bedrock of fundamental society. When disrupted it comes with destructive force that we have witnessed over the years. Marriage reflected the blessed Trinity. It originated from it and it is expected to reflect the love that binds the triune God together. Christ reminded us in Matthew that God made them male and female since the beginning and it should be so despite what the humans thinks or want to do. Jesus knew also the sociological importance of marriage when he attended the marriage at Cana Its stability sustains and nurtures life in all its stages, brings about psychological wellness of children and members of the family itself and the good order in the whole society. Little wonder realizing its importance too, Paul labeled the love between husband and wife as that of Christ and his church. In other words, both should be ready to die for the good of the other. One way to achieve that is being ready at all times to forgive the misdeeds of the other, reconcile and move on in true love in order not to allow the devil to come in. The life of the Church depended heavily on the healthy relationship of its married members, hence following the advice of Christ, who legislated that marriage should not be broken, unless if not valid ab initio (annulment). Christian (Catholic) marriage stands out from among other cultures and other forms of marriage. It tenaciously hold on to the teachings of Christ on marriage and most understood the consequences of broken families, mostly in its effects on the couple and children involved. The Catholic marriage recognizes the salvific nature of it and it being a vocation from God to populate both the world of nature and the world of spirit (baptism), to bring about constancy and harmony to the human family. In fact catholic marriage, nurtures, stabilizes, elevates the dignity of human person and brings about psychological wellness and unity of each household. In conclusion, following the events happening around us in the world in the area of marriage, it is still and will always be fashionable to hold that marriage between man and woman is the only divine and natural way of the essence of life. Any other thing should be seen as aberration and not the truth. Let us treasure this truth, live it and preach it, so that the enemies of the truth of marriage between man and woman will be defeated and put to shame in their efforts to lead humanity astray.

Most of us always desire a perfect situation, a perfect life. On the other hand our Lord our God does not grant a perfect life, what He gives instead is a perfect heart in the midst of an imperfect life .

Cebu Hosts National Steward Leaders Facilitators Training
Last June 21-23 2013 some 34 members from different chapters attended the Facilitators Training on Steward Leadership. It was conducted by Nancy Catan and Beth Ginete at the Holy Family Retreat House in Nivels Hills, Lahug, Cebu City. Prior to this Facilitators Training, the same group also attended the 4-day SLT Program in Tagaytay City last May 16-19. The Cebu seminar is considered as a trainers training as this

first batch of graduates will be responsible in reechoing the program to the rest of chapter members. The SLT course is a special gift to the Brotherhood. Therefore, the next time you hear of an SLT being conducted in our chapter, take this as a special and rare blessing and grab the opportunity to attend it. Bogo Outreach REVITALIZED

Setting in place the regular outreach activities is on top priority with major activities up for July as follows; July 5 - 1st Fri Teaching, What is Community July 6 Joint Breakfast Fellowship July 19 Chapter Assembly July 20 Joint Breakfast Fellowship Momentarily Breakfast Fellowships are cut down to 2 instead of 3. The breakfast will be all joint in preparation for the Christian Life Program (CLP) that is scheduled soon. The mission team, particularly the outreach team, is excited because they said mission is a joyful journey. I therefore enjoin the Mactan chapter members to join the Mission Team for Bogo and share your many blessings. Be counted in making Bogo a chapter. You may get in touch with our Mission Director, Bro. Tex Bulambot or Bro. Nelwyn Valmoria, the Outreach Coordinator for more details.

On its 12th year as an outreach, more focus is given to Bogo on its bid to become a chapter. With the able leadership of Regional Council Director (RCD), Boy Villanueva, other Cebu chapters have willingly committed their support to revitalize the outreach. Mandaue senior leaders, Bros. Casi Nadela, Ted Oliva and Hector Tia all of Mandaue have given their thumbs up that Bogo is worth the effort and expressed their full support to the outreach team.

No matter how good things are in our life, there is always a challenge that needs to be worked on. And no matter how bad things are in our life, there is always something good we can thank God for.

Music Ministry Gets Refresher Talk

Music Ministry (MM) head, Jun Yap, arranged a mini-refresher talks for the ministry members in their June 5 regular practice session at the BCBP Mactans office. The talks cover the review on the basic role of the Music Ministry and how to discern songs for the Chapter Assembly. Unit Leader Orly Manuel gave the mini talks and a vibrant interaction followed.
