OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION

pm-volunteers.org (PM-V) is a grassroots initiative of the project management community mobilizing high value, skilled, volunteer project management services for our charitable not-for-profit (NFP) organization partners. The Associate Director leads PM-Vs brand marketing functions, activities and assets, works closely with other CWCC PMI Portfolios and PM-Vs stakeholders to identify and leverage appropriate co-branding opportunities. This is a volunteer opportunity to develop and practice leadership and management skills. Participation will build strong networking relationships and result in documentable career-enhancing achievements. It is open to qualified candidates with a minimum commitment level of one year. This position reports to the Vice President & Program Director, PM-V.

HIGH LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES


Take ownership of the PM-V brand and be a self-starter who initiates and leads projects that support the program Develop projects and programs supporting the PM-V brand architecture, strategy and brand positioning Optimize brand visibility, awareness and value by executing the brand marketing plan Create and maintain team processes used for delivering specific marketing initiatives Recruit, develop and lead other internal and external volunteers serving in supporting roles on the brand marketing team Act as role model for others on the brand marketing team Develop and execute the annual brand marketing plan to support PM-Vs strategic objectives Plan and deliver PM-V high profile events Engage external resources and subject matter experts as required to support the delivery of the brand marketing plan Monitor, report and take action on marketing related metrics as required Ensure that PM-Vs website and social media presence is on strategy, up to date and is being used to effectively engage PM-Vs target audiences Actively seek out and develop co-branding, social public relations, and PM-Vs stakeholders in the NFP community Provide insights into trends within the project management and non profit sectors Participate in periodic meetings and/or teleconferences with other PM-V leadership team members Facilitate communication through excellent verbal and written channels Learn Chapter standards for budgets and financial controls and understand how they impact the position when and where applicable Manage PM-Vs marketing budget as required

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS

QUALIFICATIONS
Education Post secondary education in business, preferably with a focus on marketing, communications or other related fields Experience Demonstrated experience in project management, preferably in a marketing context Knowledge about the development of content marketing, brand marketing strategies and tactics Demonstrated knowledge and experience using social media in a marketing context Prior experience/exposure to the Not for Profit sector preferable.

REWARDS
All privileges and benefits applicable to Chapter Volunteers Approximately 32-40 hours per month on a flexible basis. Hours will vary depending on program activities and events.
