Task Nº1: The school

• The School is located in 325 of Cirilo Amstrong Street, Alegre’s Hill.

• The organization of the school is structured:

 Directora: Loreto Sobrado González

• The student population is constituted by 206 students.

• School rules: The regulations which apply for the students’
coexistence are based in two items: The first is related to Check-
In/Check-Out of the school and the second is completely referred to
the students’ in the following aspects:
1. Personal presentation.
2. Attendance and punctuality
3. Academic performance
4. Interpersonal relationships
5. Organization, participation and commitment
6. Relations with the environment
The location of the school does not affect the normal process of education, it is
located in a quite neighborhood where the environment can not bad influence the
process mentioned before. The organization of the school gave us an idea of
how many people work in the school, their roles and especially how since the
director until the cleaning team are important for the normal develop of the classes
and also for the social interactions during the break time. The most important
rules for a good relationship among the school’s actors are those who are referred
to students’ behavior.

Task Nº2: The classroom

The atmosphere in the classroom is good, but can be better. The teacher is the
greater authority in the classroom, and kids respect him as such. Because of this,
the students tend to commit with the things that the teacher tells them to do, and
when they have doubts about the topic, they call us (the teaching students) to
solve their doubts and problems. Since I have been teaching them, there
have been some changes in the position of the student’s sitting, this is because (I
think) most of students the very talkative therefore they tend to interrupt the class,
but is not a serious problem. The equipment in the classroom is basically the
whiteboard, which is located in the middle front of the room. There is no other
equipment in the classroom, and if there is any the teacher does not use it (not
even the book provided by the government)

Task Nº3: The teacher

Classes have been started on time since I have been there. And once in the room,
the first things to do in call the row while some students check if the entire grade
has the materials for the class. The next activity is usually checking the homework
to continue with new activities given by the teacher without requiring the help of
any book. Once explained the things to do, the teaching students play a more
important role in the develop of the classes, because they usually don’t play
attention to the teacher’s instruction and they we are to help them to understand
the things to do and who. As I said before, the only equipment used is the
whiteboard, and one of the teacher’s notebook in order to copy the activities into
the whiteboard. Most of the classes are quite boring until students gets
motivated by the activity of its own.
Task Nº4: The learners

The students are most of the time concerned about their personal issues
rather than the school ones. That is why the role of the professor is so important, in
this specific case, is quite hard to do it, but finally the results are the expected
thanks to the dedication that the teacher and the teaching students are putting into
the kids. Students have to be with someone who is explaining them the topic
that we are dealing with, but once they understand what to do, they are capable of
even teacher their classmates.

Sometimes a few students are not interested in learning and they expect
from the teaching students to make his/her task, but it is unusual, because once
they are persuaded to accomplish the goal they work as expected. Most of the
time, they enjoy those activities which are related to things they use everyday or
with draw and painting a big part of the sheet of paper. However, the kids do
not enjoy talk in English, in fact they avoid doing it when it is require for the
teacher, on the other hand kids really enjoy translating phrases and words,
because it is very easy for the to look up for words in a dictionary, if they do not
already know the word.

So far I have not seen them work in groups, so sadly I am not sure if
they like to work in groups.
