Technical Recommendation Not Adopted Council Policy

Background
WSP was appointed to identify the most appropriate scheme to mitigate Arborfield Garrison SDL development (3,500 houses) Stage 1A Scheme Identification Stage 1B will gain certainty of delivery and costs of the recommended scheme Stage 2 will complete the Planning Application Stage 3 will prepare Construction Drawings and Tender documents for construction

Stage 1A Scheme Identification

The study considered four general relief road options In total, 21 option variations were tested for a Design Year of 2026

The analysis considered: Traffic Policy Environmental impacts Property impacts Land requirements Engineering design Deliverability Public and political refinement

The draft report has been reviewed by officer disciplines It has been reported to local Councillors and Members (09 July) Land owners directly affected have been contacted This event provides details of the technical recommendation (15 July) It will be discussed at Executive (July 2013) ( )

A presentation to Arborfield SDL developers is to be arranged Public consultation is planned from September 2013 The preferred scheme requires formal Executive approval (anticipated January 2014) Only then will WBC commission Stage 1B
