Process
1. For COMPASS deployment, check ADMS each wave for paEDS deployment. 2. Project manager/SME will contact DM team to collect the CATW user data for deployment approximately 6 weeks before going live. CATW user data extraction request must be submitted with HP Emp IDs or one of the following unique employee identifiers; a. Global ID b. Domain ID c. Email address DM team does not accept CATW data extraction by name as it is not a unique identifier and duplicated names cannot be resolved to confirm their correctness. 3. Extracted CATW data are populated into a user set up template used by both training team to arrange the required training course and security team to set up new users in COMPASS and assign security objects as per their roles. 4. The populated template is returned to account project manager/SME to be reviewed. Account team will complete the template for individual with their roles (FAM, Billing, CAT time entry etc.).

Use of Excel macro to extract CATW user data from DirectoryWorks

Access to DirectoryWorks To use application to access DirectoryWorks, user must have an account set up with branch equal ou=Application and o=hp.com to access DirectoryWorks programmatically. 1. Logon to DirectoryWorks home - https://directoryworks.core.hp.com/ 2. From My Directory, click on My Account

3. Complete your access request as per sample below. The use of download data files from the Directory is optional

Usage: 1. Extract CATW user data and automatically populate the extract information into a template (column B ~ column N) for user set up by security team and training team to book training courses/enrolment. *Need a DirectoryWorks programmatic access account set up. 2. The CATW data extraction tool supports the following input data; a. HP Emp ID b. Emp Email Address c. Emp Global ID d. Emp Domain ID 3. When entering the input data, do not have any blank entry in between. A blank line on the input field is treated as end of extract.

How to extract CATW user data 1. Open workbook CATW_Data_WebQuery_1.05.xlsm. Click on the Excel Add-Ins menu item to display the CATW Data Requirement menu.

2. The CATW data gathering menu is numbered from 1 ~ 6 in order of the processing steps. Menu item 1 is reserved for EDS SAP support team to download HP Emp IDs from EDS SAP Emp ID. This function is not available to COMPASS DMAs. 3. To complete the CATW collection, populate the input data of the selected search criteria;

4. Select one of the menu options (2a, 2c, 2d, 2e) to start the data extraction. Enter your DirectoryWorks account name and password. Click Ok to proceed.

5. Extracted data are populated to the Emp List worksheet. If the search in DirectoryWorks returns a blank row, it means the input data is not valid in DirectoryWorks (e.g. invalid Emp IDs). 6. To populate the extract data into the user set up template, select menu option 4. Select the gathering template file (COMPASS User Requirements gathering v8.xlsx) saved on your PC. After data are populated into the template, save (save as) the file with a new name. 7. Menu option 3 - Get Emp Cost Centre Company Code performs a check on Employees location ID. If the location ID cost centre is set up in COMPASS, it returns the COMPASS company code. A useful feature for security to assign company specific security objects. Sample Extract

Appendix Appendix-1 CATW data collection macro application - CATW_Data_WebQuery_1.05.xlsm

Notes This application was initially developed to support People Finder Web Query. Later version had this feature removed, sourcing all CATW data from DirectoryWroks. The application file named as a WebQuery is not technically correct as it no longer support web query. Also the interface to look up HR Blue Book data was removed.
