It was my first time to watch the movie.

But before watching it, I already have ideas on what we'll be seeing. I am very interested and excited to see what will happen and upon watching, I was able to witness the goodness of the Lord. I have thoroughly understood what the book of Exodus is all about. Though it is just a summary, my mind is now enlightened on how our God has saved many lives and free them from slavery. He has sent Abraham, the child who was sacrificed by her mother to be given to the princess, so as to give him a good life. The scene of the burning bush was one of the most significant happenings on the story. God has chosen the least expected person. He didn't chose any elite on their society. That only proves God isn't looking on how powerful the individual is. He chooses the one who is faithful and persevering enough to show and spread the greatness of the Lord. God trusts Abraham. He believes that Abraham is the right person to save His people and free them from Israelites. And God didn't failed on choosing Abraham and appointing him to do this task. We are very blessed that God has created and bestowed a lot of blessings for us men, the highest of all His creations. But during Abraham's generation, the world was blinded by these blessings and learned to abused it. The Egyptians have gone through their severe greediness that they have forgotten what their purpose here on Earth was. They forgot the reason why they live. They have forgotten God. Because of that, they see themselves as powerful and it reached to the point that they made the Jews as slaves. I was sad upon seeing how the Egyptians treated these Israelites. It's as if they have forgotten that Israelites are human, too and they deserve to be treated fairly. God made us equally, so it is just right that we treat our fellow equally also. I was very amazed on how God has divided the sea to give way for the Jews and also prevent the Egyptians from following by closing it back. I got goosebumps upon seeing it and I realized how God loves us especially those who believe in Him -- those who believe that He saves. It doesn't simply end on that. After surpassing the sea, God has prepared the land for them to start their new life. There they lived happily and they were able to fully prove that God really loves them. They started a life full of love and freedom, without experiencing slavery. The movie helped me to appreciate the Lord more. It helped me realize God loves us above all. He wants simply what's the best for us. Even though there are times that we experience being the "slaves" of life, difficulties or sometimes we are stocked on hopeless situations, we should always remember the story of Exodus, that at the end of the day, God will always be there to save us and free us from these chapters of our life as long as we believe in Him. As the song says: "Miracles do happen WHEN YOU BELIEVE".
