V. SQL Server Configuration

1. In the Start menu, choose All Programs > Microsoft SQL Server 2005 > Configuration Tools > SQL Configuration Manager
2. Expand the SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration, open Protocols for MSSQLSERVER then Enable the TCP/IP
3. Go to SQL Server 2005 Services then right-click the SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) then choose Restart

1. Open the folder Packages or FOLDER, then open Server Tools folder and run Setup.exe

NOTE: The User Id is sa and the Password was the one you set in Mixed Mode when you installed SQL Server, which is B1Admin.
NOTE: If Server Name (local) does not work, you can go to SQL SERVER MANAGEMENT STUDIO. Click Server Name then choose <browse for more> then expand Database Engine select the server you want to connect then copy and paste it to the Server Name in SAP Business One Server Installation.

6. In Demo Databases check the English (United Kingdom).
7. Click Next > then wait for the setup to finish.

IX. Client Installation
1. Open the Client folder 2. Run setup.exe 3. It will prompt to install .NET 1.1, Click OK 4. Click Next until the installation finishes

X. After Installing SAP Client

1. Set the date back to the present date 2. After Installing the Client, set the Service Manager
3. SAP B1 Service Manager window will pop up

In Service, select (a) License Manager 2007 (b) Tick the Start when operating system starts check box (c) Click the Play button then OK. Close the screen
4. Open SAP Business One in your desktop, Click Change Company, if you cant see SBODemoUK Click
Change Server.

5. The Server name: (local) or the server name of the SQL Server,
Login ID: sa Password: B1Admi
6. Select 1(one) database then click OK
NOTE: When prompted by license server you may type either 127.0.0.1 localhost or the server name.

XI. How to activate Service Manager/License Manager in Windows Vista Business Edition/Windows 7
1. Open the Control Panel, and type UAC into the search box. Click Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off
2. Uncheck the box for Use User Account Control (UAC), and then click on the OK button.
3.
Reboot your computer for changes to take effect, but you should be all done with annoying prompts.

BACKING UP DATABASE
1. Expand the Database in the left side of the window 2. Right-click the database you want to back up 3. Point to Tasks then select Back Up
4. Then a Backup window will appear, Click OK.
NOTE: User can set the Source, Backup Set, and Destination

RESTORING DATABASE
1. Right-click Database and select Restore Database
2. Then a new window will appear, put the database name as Student 1 in the To database field
and change the Source for restore to From Device, Click Browse ()
3. A new form will be opened, in backup location click Add 4. Locate the database to restore (the extension name should be .bak or .trn), 5. Click OK twice 6. File Name of the database to be restore can be enter in the To database under Destination for
restore

7. Check the Restore in Select the backup sets to restore, then Click OK
8. Wait until the progress is finish, then the newly restored database will appear in the Databases in
Object Explorer
NOTE: To add new Student Database, just repeat steps 3 to 8,but change the database name (for example: Student 2).

DELETING A DATABASE
1. Expand the Database Tab ([+]), then right click the database you want to remove and choose DELETE
2. A Delete object prompt will appear, check the close existing connections, then click OK

XIV. Creating a New User

1. To create a New User, click the Administration module, expand the Setup folder, expand the General folder, and then click Users.
2. Enter the information for the user. If you want to make the user a Superuser, tick the Superuser check box

1. To change Users, go to the Administration modules, then Choose Company
