At the bottom of this TechFile, click Download Now to download the ASL package
After downloading clr-asl_251605.tar.Z, uncompress the file in /tmp:
# zcat clr-asl_251605.tar.Z | tar xvf -

Before adding the ASL package, ensure Veritas Volume Manager is installed and
enabled:
# vxdctl mode
mode: enabled
Also ensure logical unit numbers (LUNs) from the CLARiiON array are visible to
Volume Manager and that the array is configured in auto-trespass mode.
Warning: If installing on Solaris 9, then set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to /usr/lib. See
TechNote 251706 for complete information (link in the Related Documents section of
this TechFile).
Note: To verify that the array is configured correctly in auto-trespass mode,
follow the EMC document EMC Installation Roadmap for CX-Series and FC-Series
Storage Systems, Chapter 6 - "Solaris Installation Checklists", and "Set Failover
Mode and System type."

To install the package:

# pkgadd -d .

Verify the support for the new ASL:

# vxddladm listsupport | grep -i libvxDGCclariion
libvxDGCclariion.so A/P DGC CLARiiON

You must run the vxdctl enable command to claim the disk array as a CLARiiON
array:
# vxdctl enable

Below is an example of how the listing should look after it has been claimed. The
command should list the type as EMC-CLARiiON.
# vxdmpadm listctlr all
CTLR-NAME ENCLR-TYPE STATE ENCLR-NAME
