Is Theistic Evolution Or The Bible Correct?

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds
were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things
which do appear." ---Hebrews chapter 11 verses 1-3.

Why am I writing an article like this?

As a Christian since 1984 growing up in a secular world, I was confronted with the theory of evolution in
high school. I had never previously heard of any other theory concerning the origin of life.
I believed the Bible however, but the theory of evolution taught in high school was taught to me by teachers who
openly mocked at the possibility that God might exist. One day I dared to question one of my teachers at school with
some questions that he could not answer. He also asked me some that I honestly could not answer at that time either.
After I also pointed out to him that "an atheist must know everything before he can say that there is no God" and that
"Believing that there is no God is also an act of faith" he seemed to change from an atheist tobeing an agnostic.

There was one question, however, that he asked me which I could not answer. He said, "Look I am not
saying that there is no God, but why couldn`t God have used evolution to make His creation?"
It was that question imparticular that really got me. After all the Bible even says, "With God nothing shall be
impossible."(Luke 1:37). That question is the reason why I am writing this article. The theory of evolution caused me
to doubt my faith, but I believe that there is a God because of the design found in creation, & that laws demand a
lawgiver. Fulfilled prophecy also backs the Bible quite strongly & the principles of God`s word, work when put into
practice, but there seemed to be quite strong `proof` for evolution also. As a result of the wrestling of my mind
between Atheistic Evolution & the Bible being the Word of the Author of creation I reached a compromise between
the two. I started saying to people, that God did use evolution to make his creation.

Eventually as a Theistic Evolutionist, I started to have doubts about both points of view, doubts about the
existence of God, as well as doubts about theistic evolution. I started realizing that the theory of evolution seemed to
contradict clear teachings in scripture, & I noticed that distinguished scientists with degrees & masters of different
scientific fields of study, who taught atheistic evolution in their text books also had no time for the view of Theistic
Evolution. Evolution was origionally an atheistic theory. Evolution teaches that all life on earth developed &
improved from a few simple forms of life & that even these simple forms of life developed & improved from NON-
LIVING matter. Therefore all creatures as well as mankind himself developed / improved from one type of species to
a completely different & more advanced species through "natural processes" over a long period of time. The
Evolution Theory (which is dogmatically taught in our public school system) relies completely upon blind chance &
random processes. It leaves no provision for God.

Concerning the question of origins people must make a choice between Biblical Creation or Atheistic
Evolution. I will show through this article that Theistic Evolution (the idea that God used the process of evolution to
bring things into existence is neither accepted by those who believe in creation by God who made ALL things or
Atheistic Evolutionists. When I saw the incompatability between these two worldviews, I started disbelieving in God
& started to doubt the whole Bible. Eventually through answered prayer & a strange set of circumstances as well as
my own personal studies, I came out of the confusion. I have already stated that I once accepted the Theistic
Evolutionist world view in an effort to neither offend Christianity or science. I was once a Theistic Evolutionist. I
chose to straddle the fence between creation & Evolution believing it was necessary (as many still believe) in order
to reconcile science with the Word of God. Most Theistic Evolutionists, no doubt, have not considered the
implications involved. Those who do either become staunch atheists (like Charles Templeton - Evangelist Billy
Graham`s right hand man - who authored the book, "Goodbye To God" in 1996) or they believe that God created the
world in 6 twenty four hour days as OUTLINED in Genesis chapter 1.

Having considered all the irreconcilable differences between the Bible`s account of Creation & the Theistic
Evolution theory, as well as evidence from Creationists against the Atheistic Evolution theory I can now look back
with hind sight & ask the teacher the following questions:
 1. Why should God have to use evolution to make His creation?
2. How can the impossible become possible by increasing the the time frame?
3. How can the unproven theory of theistic evolution be reconciled with the clear teachings of God`s Word
(which it contradicts) & both points of view be right at the same time?
4. Since the modern theories of evolution (Atheistic, Theistic, & progressive):
1stly- are traced back through history to ideas from Greek Hedonist philosophers;
2ndly-are all ultimately based upon the teaching of Uniformitarianism;
3rdly-Are all wilfully ignorant that all things were created by God;
4thly -deny that the earth was originally a sphere covered in water - out of which the land formed;
5thly -are willingly ignorant of & deny that there was a GLOBAL flood.........Can we not see through
hindsight that the belief & teaching of evolution (in any of its forms) is therefore one of the things that the Word of
God in 60-64 A.D. warned about in 2 Peter 3:1-9! Lets read the text below! Please note also my footnotes, &
explanations below the text.

{3:1}" This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you;

in [both] which I stir up your pure minds by way of
remembrance:
{3:2} That ye may be mindful of the words
which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the
commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
{3:3} Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last
days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, [1]
{3:4} And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the
fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from
the beginning of the creation. [2]
{3:5} For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of
old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: [3] & [4]
{3:6} Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed
with water, perished: [5]
{3:7} But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store,
reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
{3:8} But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a
thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."

[1] Greek philosophers: Lucretius--> Epicurius --> Empodocles & Aristoltle (were Hedonistic in philosophy) - [they
taught that reality is only limited to what is percieved by the 5 senses & "if it feels good do it." -Approx 483 B.C.]
[2] Uniformitarianism = [The idea that Erosion & other natural processes have always happened at the same rate as
it is today, since the beginning of life as proposed by James Hutton -the father of modern Geology in the 1700`s];
[3] ALL things were created by God [who spoke all things into existence out of nothing -Psalm 33:6-9; John 1:1-3;
Colossians 1:16-17;Hebrews 1:1-3; 11: 1-3.];
[4] The earth was originally a sphere covered in water - out of which the land formed [this is not compatable with

 The seeds of belief that led to the dogma of Evolution can be traced back to the philosophies of the ancient Greeks,
as this Atheist admits.

without reference to supernatural causes and in so doing, they changed astronomy from a mystical cult into a science.
Greek thinkers came to realize that the prevailing astrological beliefs did not correspond with the "rules" of the

Is the Bible a Scientific Book ?

Contrary to what the atheists believe the Bible does NOT oppose or hinder science. “All thinking men
respect true science. Scientific knowledge has brought great benefits to mankind. The kind of science that has given
rise to modern development is that based on careful experimenting & testing. Science comes from the Latin word,
“scientia” which means knowledge.” (CREATION OR EVOLUTION a Search for the Truth” by Mr P.Graham
Rehn, (ISBN 0 7316 4304 6), page 5).

It is good to study physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, & other valid sciences because the more we
discover & learn about our world, the universe & the wonders of creation in them.Another important thing to
remember is that the Bible is not a book of science but it is scientifically correct in every way. No true scientific fact
has ever been in disagreement with a Bible teaching and if the Bible is indeed the Word of God, it never will! This is
because God is the author of ALL creation & He knows the end from the beginning. (I will later provide an example
list of many of he scientific facts which are in harmony with scripture, yet pre-dating scientific discoveries). Indeed
many scientific inventors & discoverers were either Jewish or Christians (see the book -"Men of Science, Men of
God." by Dr Henry Morris ISBN 0-89051-080-6 (c)1982, 1988 reprint 1992 ).True science is based on experiments
& upon observable evidences & processes which are found IN THE PRESENT.
The question of the origins of all things cannot be scientifically determined by experimentation with things
found in the present, whether there is an intelligent creator who created all things OR if the universe & our solar
system made itself through blind chance & random processes. God is a Spirit, He is invisible & not a part of the
material universe.You cannot prove (when man was not there) how the universe started 6000 years ago, 100, 000
years ago or over 6 Billion years ago either.

God once asked a man called Job,"Who [is] this that darkeneth counsel by words without
knowledge? Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou
me. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast
understanding." --Job 38:3-4.
 Both positions Biblical Creation & Evolution in its many forms are ultimately faiths. One is based on the
Word of God, the other is based on assumptions & guess work as well as examples of fraud (I will give examples -
WITH REFERENCES in another article later). The best that evolution seems to offer is guesses. Words such as
should have, would have, could have, may have been, most likely, must have been, and other similar phrases are
often mentioned in the science text books which favor evolution, in high schools & tertiary institutions.
It is important to note that the Bible was not a treatise written to try to prove the existance of God!.
From the very first verse it already assumes the existence of God ("In the beginning God created the heaven
and the earth." -Genesis 1:1). Though that is the case, REMEMBER as I mentioned previously- no true scientific
fact has ever been in disagreement with a Bible teaching and if the Bible is indeed the Word of God, it never will! I
will just give 4 examples below in the table:

UNIVERSE, & this is only a guess.
Another example of Biblical insight into Genetics is found
in 1Corinthians 15:38-39 written around 50-54 A.D.by the
apostle Paul It refers vividly to differences of each class
of organism.
What about the Human Genome. Everything about us
Biologically & physiologically was written down in the
genetic code of our chromosomes even before our bodies
were formed. Note what is said in the figurative language
also contained in the reference I am referring to ---
PSALM 139:13-16!
From Aristotle till the Dark Ages & Renaissance until
recently the scientific world believed that air was
weightless. Torcelli invented the Barometer.

THE SUN IN OUR SOLAR SYSTEM ISN`T EVEN THE LARGEST STAR THAT HAS BEEN DISCOVERED.
IF THE EARTH WERE A GOLFBALL IN SIZE COMPARED TO THE SUN THEN THE SUN WOULD BE A
HUGE BALL 15 FEET IN DIAMETER! But wait, there`s more! BETELGEUSE IS A STAR --- TWICE THE SIZE
OF THE EARTH`S ORBIT OF THE SUN! But there is still more! THE LARGEST STAR FOUND SO FAR IS
CALLED "CANUS MAJORUS". IF OUR SOLAR SYSTEM WERE THE SIZE OF AN AMERICAN QUARTER
DOLLAR (OR THE AUSSIE 10 CENT PIECE ... THEN ... THE WHOLE OF THE NORTH AMERICAN
CONTINANT IS THE SIZE OF CANUS MAJORUS.
THE BIBLE DOESN`T TELL US EXACTLY HOW GOD MIRACULOUSLY MADE THE UNIVERSE &
ALL ITS HOST, BUT IT GIVES US A N ORDER OF THE DAYS OF CREATION & THE AMOUNT OF TIME
IT TOOK FOR GOD TO MAKE THE HEAVENS & THE EARTH.

GALAXY M51 -CONTAINS HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF STARS & THOUSANDS OF LIGHT YEARS
ACROSS.

"I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. He
hath made every [thing] beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so
that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. --
Ecclesiastes 3:10-11

By discovering more through science we can see how little we actually know & how small we really are!

"When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou
hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou
visitest him? -- Psalm 8:3-4
"[It is] the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings [is] to search out a
matter. The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings [is]
unsearchable." -Proverbs 25-2-3.
Ultimately we accept Genesis chapters 1 & 2 as it is written -By Faith, because we were not there when God created
everything!

"O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable
[are] his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the
Lord? or who hath been his counselor?
Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him,
and through him, and to him, [are] all things: to whom [be] glory for ever. Amen."
--- Romans 11:33-36.

Theistic Evolution: Is it really compatable with God`s Word, or not?!!

The Bible is either the Word of God or it isn`t. There is no middle ground. If it is not the Word of God then
believing it is a waste of time.
Generally those who believe in Theistic Evolution:
-Do not believe that there is any real or weighty evidence against the Evolution theory;
-Do not view the first eleven chapters of Genesis as Historical, but in an allegorical sense;
-Believe that the days of Genesis are long periods of time ranging between 1000 years to 1Billion years;
-Believe that Noah`s flood was only a local flood.
-They think that Evolution is objective science.

I came to a crisis of conscience in my life on the matter of Evolution because it is so strongly promoted in
our education system & in the media,.. then after the question that my Biology teacher asked me (see page 1) I
became a Theistic Evolutionist. After coming across irreconcilable differences between Theistic Evolution & the
Bible`s account of creation & seeing the inconsistansy of that theory with scripture, I had to then make a choice,
"Either the Bible is right or Evolution is." Charles Templeton in his book,"Goodbye to God" points out from an
evolutionist angle why Genesis & Evolution don`t mix, assuming wrongly that Evolution does actually have real
evidence to turn its theory into a fact.
When one takes into account the rules of proper Bible interpretation, especially the law of first mention as
well as the law of context (which determines whether the author intended the reader to take a passage literally or just
figuratively) then one cannot accept the first eleven chapters of Genesis as true if Evolution is true. If that then is the
case, then you may as well throw out the rest of the Bible also because these eleven chapters are foundational to the
rest of scripture. This is why aggressive atheists are doing whatever they can to try to `proove` evolution as true.

‘If we marry our theology to today’s science, we’ll be widowed tomorrow … . Those who wish
to deny a particular interpretation of Genesis need to find a basis in the biblical text from the
application of these rules; an appeal to general human fallibility is simply not sufficient …
Compromise with materialism is impossible, for materialists will never be satisfied until all of
Christianity is vanquished … .’Dr Douglas Kelly, Professor of Systematic Theology.

We can thank God for the ministry of the Creation Rersearch Foundation Team,
as well as others including Science teachers who were once full-on evolutionists who now teach Biblical Creation.
Their ministry & work of showing the lack of `evidence` for Evolution & the abundance of evidence for what the
Bible says in Genesis 1-11 has had a deep impact to say the least. This is inspite of the Government funding which is
put towards the promotion of the Evolution theory in the places of education. The Creationist ministries merely rely
on donations.

BUT after concerted creationist exposure & more than 20 years later....
" In any case, no real evolutionist, whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence
in favour of the theory of evolution as opposed to special creation." (Mark Ridley [zoologist, Oxford
University ), "Who doubts Evolution ?" NEW-SCIENTIST, Volume 90, 25th June1981, page 831.
Only after Creationisms concerted pressure & exposure of the true nature of the fossel record was
the latter taught by evolutionist.

BUT NOTE THIS QUOTE...

" The Fossils that decorate our family tree are so scarce that there are still more scientists than
specimens. The remarkable fact is that all of the physical evidence that we have for evolution can still be
placed, with room to spare inside a single coffin ! " (Dr Lyall Watson, "The water people", Science Digest,
Vol 90 May 1982 Pg 44).

I will now point out the areas where the Theistic Evolution disagrees with
scripture.

A)THE CREATION OF PERFECT / COMPLETE PLANT & ANIMAL LIFE VERSES A CONTINUALLY
IMPROVING CREATION OF THOSE FORMS "And the earth brought forth grass, [and] herb yielding
seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed [was] in itself, after his kind: and God saw that [it
was] good." -Genesis 1:12.

"And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth
abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good. And God
blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the
earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day." -Genesis 1:21-23

"And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and
beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle
after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good."
-Genesis 1:24-25.
*According to the Bible Plant life, Aquatic life & Land Animals were all originally created in a perfect state NOT a
continually improving one.

B) THE ORIGINAL CREATION WAS "VERY GOOD" AS OPPOSED TO "NOT GOOD ENOUGH."
"And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the
morning were the sixth day." -Genesis 1:31
*IF God used Evolution (which requires survival of the fittest, death, suffering & decay) to bring His creatures into
existence THEN HOW could He look on it all & say that it was "very good" ?
C) CONSISTENT WITH THE RULES OF GENETICS THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT ALL ORGANISMS
REPRODUCE AFTER THEIR OWN KIND. GENETICS PRESENTED A PROBLEM FOR THE
EVOLUTION THEORY UNTIL HUGO DE VIRES CAME UP WITH THE MUTATION THEORY. "And
God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, [and] the fruit tree yielding fruit after his
kind, whose seed [is] in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, [and] herb
yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed [was] in itself, after his kind: and God saw
that [it was] good." --Genesis 1:11-12. (See also Genesis 1:21, 24-25).
*ALL creatures reproduce after their kind. These verses are consistent with the laws of Genetics! ..... Not
Evolution. (Over 95% of mutations are harmful, not beneficial to an organism. Mutations are genetic copying
mistakes & cause the deleting of genetic information. One of the simplest forms of a mutation is CANCER!).
....HOWEVER ....Theistic Evolutionists would have us believe that God used Evolution, (which believes in
`beneficial` mutations) to develop one kind & species into another completely different & more advanced kind &
species of plant or animal.

C) THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT CREATION OCCURRED IN 6 LITERAL DAYS EACH HAVING AN
EVENING & A MORNING, NOT THOUSANDS TO BILLIONS OF YEARS "And God saw every thing that
he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Thus the
heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work
which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed
the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and
made." --Genesis 1:31-- 2:3.

"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the
seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor
thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:
For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is,] and rested the seventh
day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." --Exodus 20:8-11.
Six days or six ages? What does the biblical text actually say?

**When one looks at Genesis Chapter 1, the Bible says that the world was created in 6 Days. It is obvious that when
we look at the whole chapter (the context) we see over & over again that each of the days of Genesis has an evening
& a morning which proves that each day was a 24 hour period even as we experience today (1:6, 8, 13, 19, 23, 31; 2:
1-3).
So often, however, theistic evolutionists will still insist that the days of Genesis are long periods / eons of time by
misquoting the first half of 2Peter 3:8:
"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years,
and a thousand years as one day." -2Peter 3:8

Why not consider & quote the full verse of 2Peter 3:8 as I have.
**The fact that the days of Genesis are literal 24 hour days is also proven by the commandment for the Jews to keep
the Sabbath. They were commanded to rest on the seventh day because God rested on the seventh day.
If the days in Genesis were long periods of time: e.g/ 1000 years then that would also mean that the Jews were to
work for 6000 years & then they were to rest for 1000 years.

D) THE BIBLE & THE FIRST LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS TEACHES THAT CREATION HAS
BEEN COMPLETED"Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the
seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work
which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from
all his work which God created and made." --Genesis 2:1-3.

*After the six days of creation, creation was finished & God rested. This is consistent with the First law of
Thermodynamics, for energy NOW can neither be created nor destroyed, it just changes form. Duplicating processes
such as procreation are now in place. Evolution, however teaches that creation is always continuing, & even
increasing in complexity.

E) THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT PAIN, SUFFERING &

DEATH IN CREATION WAS A RESULT ONLY AFTER ADAMS SIN
"And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest
thereof thou shalt surely die." --Genesis 2:16-17.

"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men,
for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of
Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come." --Romans 5:12-13.

"Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of
the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

*According to God`s Word, there was no pain, death, bloodshed & disease existing before Adam & Eve. Theistic
Evolution requires a process where the weak & sickly are killed by the stronger more vigorous creatures. This
"Survival of the Fittest" then supposedly produces improved stock as a result. The Word of God says that there was
no life & death struggle before Adam, so how could God use evolution to produce Adam & other creatures?
It`s not that God couldn`t have used it, he wouldn`t have used it!

God is able to do all things that we see as impossible, BUT he cannot lie or contradict himself.
"God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall
he not do [it?] or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" --Numbers 23:19.

"In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; But hath in due times
manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God
our Saviour;... " Titus 1:2-3

F) MAN`S SIN NATURE WAS A RESULT OF ADAM`S SIN 7 THEN IT WAS INHERITED FROM ADAM
BY ALL OF MANKIND " Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so
death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not
imputed when there is no law). Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not
sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.." --Romans
5:12-14

Man has a sin nature. If man evolved from animals, then his sin nature is nothing more than an inherited animal
characteristic. Then it also follows that if sin nature is not the result of Adam & Eve`s fall into sin as mentioned in
Genesis 3, then there is no need for a Redeemer or for Atonement for sin. Man`s sin nature would not need to be
dealt with.

G) MAN WAS MADE OF THE DUST OF THE EARTH & TO DUST HE WILL RETURN.
"And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;
and man became a living soul." --Genesis 2:7.

Because of man`s sin against God, the Bible says:

"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken:
for dust thou [art,] and unto dust shalt thou return." --Genesis 3:19.

After death, the Bible says

"Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it."
--Ecclesiastes 12:7

The Bible teaches that when God created man, he was made of the dust of the earth, in fact the name Adam even
means "man of earth". Later on God put Adam to sleep & from one of Adam`s ribs God made the first woman, Eve.
Evolution teaches that man evolved from lower forms of life. After a man dies he does NOT become ape at any stage
of decomposition in a coffin, does he?!

H) THE BIBLE DOES NOT STATE THAT ADAM HAD PARENTS BUT IT DOES STATE THAT GOD
MADE THE FIRST WOMAN OUT OF ONE OF ADAM`S RIBS.

"And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and
closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a
woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This [is] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh:
she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his
mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his
wife, and were not ashamed." --Genesis 2:21-25

*Evolution cannot explain the origin of the sexes! As with the animals, the male needs the female to reproduce, &
the female needs the male to reproduce. One cannot carry on life without the other.

MANKIND ....

• Which came first according to the theory of evolution?

• If it was the man, then how did other men appear without other women? Who was Adam`s mother?
• If both the men & women evolved over a long period of time, then what made evolution change its initial
plan to require the necessity of both a man & a woman to procreate?
• If God used the process of evolution to bring man into existence, then why didn`t he use the same process to
create Eve? The Bible teaches in Genesis 2:21-22 that God made Eve from one of Adam`s ribs.
I) THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT MAN IS MADE UP OF A SPIRIT, A SOUL & A BODY, BUT ANIMALS
DO NOT HAVE A SPIRIT.
"And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be
preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. {5:24} Faithful [is] he that calleth you, who
also will do [it]. --1Thessalonnians 5:23-24

If God used evolution to make man, then man is just a higher form of animal life without a spirit. Genesis 2:7 which
teaches that God breathed into man`s nostrils the breath of life cannot be used to support theistic Evolution of man
theory because that verse also teaches that God made man of the dust of the earth. If the"dust" that God used to make
man was an animal then according to Genesis 3:19 the "dust" that man goes back to at death would be an animal, but
that is ridiculous!

J) ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE THE FLOOD OF NOAH WAS A GLOBAL FLOOD NOT MERELY A
LOCAL ONE

"And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, And I, behold, I establish my covenant
with you, and with your seed after you; And with every living creature that [is] with you, of the fowl, of the
cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood;
neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
And God said, This [is] the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living
creature that [is] with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token
of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that
the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which [is] between me and you and
every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting
covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that [is] upon the earth. And God said unto Noah,
This [is] the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that [is] upon the
earth." --Genesis 9:8-17

There are only two ways of interpreting all fossil evidence in the whole Creation verses Evolution debate:
• Global Flood Geology OR;
• Modern Evolutionary Geology based on Uniformitarianism - (which supposes that the rates of erosion,
deposition & petrification have always occurred at the same generally slow rate as we see today) & denies
there was a GLOBAL flood).
Theistic Evolutionists accept modern Evolutionary Geology & deny that the flood of Noah was a global flood. They
say it was only a local flood of the then known world, or a mythical story to convey a spiritual lesson. Holding to any
Theistic Evolution view is inconsistent with the Scriptures as the above cartoon obviously points out.
Note also Genesis 7:19-22 below.
" And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that [were] under the whole
heaven, were covered. Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. And all
flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing
that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: All in whose nostrils [was] the breath of life, of all that [was] in
the dry [land,] died." --Genesis 7:19-22.

Conclusion
• For 1800+ years, beginning with the ancient Greeks the ancient idea of Spontaneous Generation was
accepted as the atheistic alternative to there being an intelligent creator. This was due to their abandonment
of their false gods & astrological beliefs.
• After the advent of James Hutton, the founder of modern Geology who was also an atheist, the rise of
Lamarck`s Theory of Evolution (the inheritance of acquired characteristics).
• A man called Erasmus Darwin believed in Lamarckism, but then later on his Grandson, Charles Darwin
came up with a new improved theory of evolution, known as Survival of the Fittest. He wrote a book called,
"The Origin Of Species: Or The Selection Of Favorable Races In The Struggle Of Life." (The Full Title).
• Of Old, the Bible was always a problem for the Atheistic Myths of Spontaneous Generation, Lamarckism,
& also Charles Darwin`s evolved & well thought out version of the evolution. The laws of Genetics backed
up the observable & repeatable fact that all plant & animal life whether land or aquatic, sexual or asexual
always reproduce after their own kinds (having only variations within each kind). A man called Hugo De
Vires then came up with the beneficial mutation theory.
• Today most Atheists believe in what is now known as NEO-DARWINISM, based upon the Big bang theory
of the 1920`s for supposed Chemical evolution into life, & which presumes that both survival of the fittest
combined with `beneficial` mutations gave rise to increasingly more complex life forms that could duplicate
themselves.

• Many professing to belong to Christendom, began to compromise with the Theory of Evolution & thus
Theistic Evolution was born & keeps evolving like its atheist cousin. This is the only place where evolution
actually occurs, it is in the minds of men, only.
• Both Atheistic Evolution as well as any form of Theistic Evolution are not only incompatible with real
observable Operational science, but they are also incompatible with the Word of God as well. The Bible on
the other hand never conflicts with true operational & beneficial science.
• I wrote this article because the Bible is either the Word of God or it isn`t. There is no middle ground &
Christians should base their world view & their thinking on the Bible. As it was since Bible times, as well as
through the dark ages, if God`s Word is saying one thing, but hierarchies of men are saying another, then,
"Let God be true, but every man a liar..." Genesis chapter 1 is a more detailed account of the sixth day of
creation. Genesis 1 & 2 are not different conflicting accounts of creation.
• The leading Humanist of Charles Darwin`s day, Thomas Huxley saw the folly of trying to harmonize
evolution with the Bible. He said, "I am fairly at a loss to comprehend how any one, for a moment, can
doubt that Christian Theology must stand or fall with the historical trustworthiness of the Jewish Scriptures"
[quoted in Creation Ex-Nihlio (magazine) Volume 17 # 2, March - May 1995 pages 20-21].
• Christians need to take heed to the prophetic last days warnings of both 2 Peter 3:1-9 (see page 2 of this
article) as well as Paul`s exhortation to Timothy in 1 Timothy 6:20-21 (quoted below).

"O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane [and] vain babblings, and
oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace [be]
with thee. Amen."
