The Destruction of Earth

Over the years, people are hearing more and more about the depletion of the environment. From problems such as pollution and acid rain to the depletion of natural resources and fossil fuels, the human race needs to make some drastic changes to preserve the Earth for further generations. People all over the world are destroying the environment and will not change unless it is affecting them personally, so it is up to the government to step in and make some changes. The condition of our environment is in a downward spiral that must be corrected soon. We are exhausting many natural resources that are essential to human life. Resources such as plants, animals, water, fossil fuels and air are all being destro yed by our throwaway culture. The United States is by far the most wasteful nation in the world. In 1999, the United States consumed approximately 25% of the total energy used throughout the world (Total Primary Energy Consumption 4). Americans love luxury, and we could run out of natural resources soon if we do not prepare for the future. Plants and trees are declining at an alarming rate. It seems like we always hear of some new subdivision or highway being built. Deforestation usually occur
Environmental destruction is the destruction of the environment through depletion of natural resources and pollution. The planets natural ecosystems and regenerating bio-capacity are being severely degraded and as a result this compromises the ability of the planet to sustain life. Forests, fisheries, oceans, rangeland, freshwater systems (lakes, wetlands, rivers) and other natural ecosystems are all threatened whilst many are on the verge of collapse. Water, land and air are getting increasingly polluted, water tables are falling, and soil erosion is leading to desertification, global warming is well under way and species are dying out one thousand (1000) times faster than their natural rate of extinction. The development of science and technology
makes our life more comfortable and convenient have created many problems, which are not easy to be resolved, such as air pollution, the deterioration of environment and the scarcity of natural resources, to which we must some solutions.

A human being is a being who is constantly 'under construction,' but also, in a parallel fashion, always in a state of constant destruction.
Development is necessary but not at the cost of depletion of natural resources and global pollution. Mahatma Gandhis words that there is enough in nature to satisfy mans needs but not greed
It is a planned development without depleting or destroying natural resources, retaining them for future generations. It should not affect development but should also leave enough natural resource to future generation.

Development - means a progression from a simpler or lower to a more advanced, mature, or complex form or stage. It is also defined as the gradual advancement or growth through a series of progressive changes. Development is a process, not a level. It is a path to achieve certain goals.

Destruction is the action or process of causing so much damage to something that it no longer exists or cannot be repaired:
