Decriptive Course Data: Class: Third year high school, 30 students Lesson: Vygotsky: The Man and his

Works Duration: 1 hour, 15 minutes Dick and Reiser Objectives: By the end of the lesson, the students should be able to: a) Clearly identify and explain three concepts of Vygotsky: ZPD, Scaffolding and Collaborative Learning; and b) Demonstrate their understanding of these concepts by giving examples of how they can be applied in their life. (optional) e. explain the rules of the relay game: f. listen to the rules of the game there are four flags (blue, green, red, yellow) placed around the room. The other four members of the group will guide their tied-up group mate to the flags(in the above order) without touching him. When the tied-up person reaches the blue flag, the ankle-tie will be removed. At the green flag, the handcuff will be removed, at the red flag the blindfold will be removed and he will be able to reach the yellow flag without help from his group. The first group to reach the last flag or the group nearest to the end by the end of ten minutes wins. g. tell the students to take their h. play the relay game until the end of positions and start the game the ten minutes or until one group i. recognize the winning team (prizes finishes and is declared the winner may be given) and have the students j. follow the teacher return to their seats.
