EMD implementation in BSP: Basic requirements


Airline EMD server is capable to connect to GDS Airline has contacted a given GDS to deploy EMD with its travel agencies Airline has selected a market to deploy EMD, therefore BSP reporting in this market When necessary (GDS not certified yet), GDS must test and implement EMD as a new industry product in this BSP (with a launch partner) Objective is to validate the settlement process of EMD within IATA BSP Testing has been streamlined and limited to 13 DPC/Regions Once certified in a market an airline and its GDS choose when to deploy with real travel agencies

What is EMD MatchMaker? A web tool/online matchmaking platform (www.matchmaker.aero) also used in other StB Projects Provides airlines and GDS to manage, schedule and report EMD implementation status worldwide Why we need EMD MatchMaker? To facilitate EMD deployment between airlines, GDS and BSP - help airline find GDS for EMD testing and deployment in BSP - help GDS engage airline To facilitate Interline-EMD (I-EMD) implementation between airlines* Follow-up EMD penetration by GDS/Airlines/BSP (target 100% EMD)
