Industry: Financial Services .NET Developer - Worked in a web site that allow the stockbroker's users to access their real-time stock and cash positions. It also allowed to get the history of their account and a set of important statistics and charts. This was developed using C# / ASP.net in the Visual Studio 2005 environment. It's finished and it's currently being used. This is a critical piece of software for the company, since nowladays we can't really imagine an important finance company that does not provide it's client's a powerfull web interface. - The current project is a CRM system being developed in C# using .Net Framework 3.5 with WPF and Silverlight in the Visual Studio 2008 environment. Silverlight 2.0 is the latest/hotest technology form Microsoft. The database used is MS SQL Server and it's accessed using LINQ. It's an ambitious project since it will evolve to centralize in a main database all the company's smaller databases, so that the company has just one central point to get the data from. 2/2011 - Present Euromonitor International

Other tools used were Nunit, and Rhino Mocks. Worked in several projects, including the development of an e-portal framework in C#. This framework is built around ASP.NET. Its a tool that allows the user to create is own web site without a single line of code, it had a data dictionary, a form designer and many other outstanding features. The Web Forms were stored in an SQL Server database and were described in an XML format. They were accessed using ADO.NET with the SqlConnector. Since we created an abstract layer to access it, the portal could also be easily connect to MySql or any other database using the appropriate connector. Ive also created some C# components myself to make them available in the framework; this demanded mastering HTML and Javascript, since C# .net forms are in fact translated into HTML and Javascript, so that the browser can interpret them. I also developed a Human Resources portal using C#, ASP.Net and WebServices. With this thin-client approach we could just have thousands of users connected simultaneously to the portal. This portal just revolutionized the way our customer (a human resources company) interacted with its own customers. To ensure the best reliability and performance, in all the projects developed at Only-Path, Ive used an Extreme Programming approach with unit testing we simply had to make sure that the applications were prepared to handle all possible situations. 11/1996 - 1/2005 Softlab Braga, Braga

Industry: Computer Software R&D Director Worked in several projects, including the developing of an ERP in Delphi, and PDA Programming in C# (using WinForms / .NET compact Framework). The ERP was made over a framework created by us that supplied the Business Objects we needed. This framework was considered 2nd best product in show at a Computer Show in Lisbon in 2001 (named Inforpor). To create the ERP I acquired deep know-how in Invoicing, Accounting, Stock Management, CRM, Manufacturing, and the most important, how to run a complex project with few resources.
