org Materials*/ Preparednes s Absences and Tardies Your Rights/My Responsibilities My requests for your class preparation (reading, homework, etc.) will be reasonable and useful to your growth as a student. I will make class time meaningful and will start on time. You will have adequate time to make up missed work due to excused absences. I will set reasonable deadlines and due dates for assignments. I will consider extensions on major assignments with prior discussion. I will plan and prepare meaningful activities and practice experiences that will directly relate to the major assessments you complete for class. I will assist you to the best of my ability and will help you build skills. I will maintain an open-door policy for communication, should you require individualized assistance for any reason. I will consider each students unique situation and adjust the learning plan for that student as necessary based on circumstances. I will honor all documented 504 and IEP accommodations that pertain to this class and area of study. I will treat you like the young adults that you are, and trust you to use the bathroom pass sparingly, earnestly, and to

Work Submission

Your Responsibilities/My Rights You will consistently meet or exceed the preparation expectations for each lesson, and bring all necessary materials to class each day. You will be in the classroom before the last bell rings. You will take the initiative to ask for work that you have missed when you are absent and you will complete it in the time allotted. You will meet deadlines, whether in the classroom or online, with consistency. If not, you will be prepared for a penalty for late submissions. You will consistently engage in the lessons of this class (rather than sleeping, texting, working on other classwork, distracting others or allowing yourself to become distracted) in order to further your education. You will advocate for yourself and will conduct communications with me as a first line of defense should trouble arise. This means asking for help before the end of a unit of study or grading period. Do not wait until grades are almost final to ask for help! You will communicate your individual needs in a timely fashion so that I can make adequate preparations to honor the 504 or IEP prior to implementation. You will assume that you may miss something important should you choose to leave the classroom during a lesson. You
