Optus KPI 1 tool for Nemo Scanner files

Introduction
This manual covers the KPI 1 tool from Entelecom. Optus created a KPI 1 Spreadsheet with a macro that processed the old Anritsu scanner data. This is now very much out of date and is incapable of processing the large amounts of data that the new scanners produce. The spreadsheet is also very time consuming with cut and pasting of each log file, running the macro and finally copying the result into the report. Excel macros were never made for this kind of information and thus it is very slow. It is due to these many issues, that Entelecom created a free public download for creating KPI 1 reports from Nemo outdoor logfiles (from V4 to V6). It is 100 times faster than the Excel Macro, is not limited by channels and can queue an unlimited number of files for processing.

Installation
First install the software from http://entelecom.com.au/Optus_KPI_1_Reporter/

This software is not signed, and windows may ask if you still want to install it. Just say yes. It requires the Microsoft .Net package V4. This will download and install automatically from the Microsoft website if you do not have it already. Updates are completed automatically if they are available. The software will look for updates each time it is started.

Usage
The program functions in the same way as the original Spreadsheet. We tried to keep it as similar as possible so that it is easy for older KPI 1 spreadsheet users. The program has file/s open, options and Run Analysis on the menu. To open your files, just click file->open. Now select all the files you want to report on. Note: The software will report on Scanner and Phone log files. The reason for adding a phone log, is that the newer chipsets have up to 21 cells in either of Active, Monitored or detected. Scanners are still the best way, but you can check your DAS if you do not have a scanner on site. File -> Open Select File/s (Can multi select many files)

Opened file/s are displayed.

Click Options and you can set the same settings as you would in the spreadsheet

Run the results by clicking Run Analysis. The file will begin its KPI 1 calculation and show status in bottom status window.

A resulting file is saved in the same location as the log file.

Result is the same as the Spreadsheet ready for dragging into a report.

The report for Outdoor Leakage shows 3 parts: 1. How many samples on the IBC server/s, in percentage, have an RSCP < -100dBm 2. How many samples on the IBC server/s, in percentage, have an Ec/No < -10dB 3. How many samples on the IBC server/s, in percentage, have RSCP < -100dBm OR Ec/No < -10dB

Note: If section 3 passes, the system meets the KPI 1 specification for outdoor leakage.
