The Digital Oilfield Journey Tuesday, 5 March 13301500 Session Chairperson Rick Morneau, Consultant This session will explore a decade of DOF experience and learnings, review a recent DOF implementation and look at building a digital field platform in one of the worlds largest DOF projects. Data Quality Tuesday, 5 March 13301500 Session Chairperson Guillermo Arango, Baker Hughes Critical activities such as remote monitoring, remote control, or analytics-driven decision making depend on the quality of data. In this session we will explore new approaches to improving the quality of data, from the placement of data sources to data cleansing and data validation. Decision Support for Drilling Tuesday, 5 March 13301500 Session Chairperson Chris Luppens, Schlumberger This session will provide examples of real-time systems, data mining, probabilistic forecasting and collaborative workflows that provide decision making support for drilling operations.
Panel Session: Applying Technical Solutions to Well High Count Fields Tuesday, 5 March 15301700 Session Chairperson Mark Crawford, ExxonMobil Operators are faced with the challenge of deploying cost-effective technical solutions for high well count fields. Examples of how to tackle this issue for several different business problems will be presented. The presenters will then answer questions from the audience in a panel discussion format. Data-Driven Analytics Tuesday, 5 March 15301700 Session Chairperson Amr El-Bakry, ExxonMobil One of the major challenges in managing oil and gas fields is to capture value from the data gathered continuously in order to answer questions such as what happened, why it happened, and what will happen. Presentation in this session will cover both the technology and the benefits of using data-driven analytics in many important applications. Improved Operations I Tuesday, 5 March 15301700 Session Chairperson Jim Brinks, Chevron Improving operations requires turning data into information. This session will look at incorporating real-time surveillance data into guided workflows for improving well performance and reservoir characterization.
Industry Data Standards Wednesday, 6 March 13301500 Session Chairperson Ronald Cramer, Shell Global Solutions E&P has a legacy of many siloed operations and this is very much the case with E&P software applications. This session is all about the software standards required to break down these silo walls by getting E&P systems to talk to each other more effectively. Across the Upstream Activity Spectrum with Data-Driven Analytics Wednesday, 6 March 13301500 Session Chairperson Eric Ziegel, BP Spanning across well placement to reservoir management to artificial lift, these papers demonstrate how data-analytics adds value across the entire upstream activity space. A wide variety of data-driven technologies will be demonstrated. Improved Operations II Wednesday, 6 March 13301500 Session Chairperson Mark Lochmann, Halliburton Improving operations requires balancing many factors. This session will look at smart data acquisition, sifting through todays complex data environment to uncover meaningful information and finally the elements required for situational awareness within operations.
Leveraging Large Data Sets Wednesday, 6 March 15301700 Session Chairperson Bill McKenzie, Chevron Our industry produces large data sets which need to be analyzed. Lessons from the bio-pharma industry will be explored as well as real-time adaptive analytics combined with streaming data architecture capable of processing rig and oilfield data in real time. Optimization Wednesday, 6 March 15301700 Session Chairperson Elizabeth Morris, ExxonMobil Optimization is a very broad practice within our industry. This session will explore optimization starting with RTO learnings, extending to ESP and concluding with a full field study. Improving Work Processes Wednesday, 6 March 15301700 Session Chairperson Robert Chrosniak, ExxonMobil Work processes are fundamental to everything we do. These case studies will explore not only what is required to successfully implement work process changes but also help us identify failure early on so that changes can be made.
