Feed pump

BOILER
The purpose of boiler is to generate steam. There are two type of boiler 1/ smoke tube some time call fire tube boiler and water tube boiler. The boiler as above drawing is water tube boiler which generates high pressure steam to about 60 bar pressure. The steam which out from steam drum is call saturated steam, then pass through the super heater tube inside boiler which heat up by combustion after inside furnace is call superheat steam with the temperature around 500 deg C depending boiler design. FEED PUMP click for photo click for move
The purposes for the feed pump is to feed the condensate water/distill water from dearator to boiler to keep the water in the boiler. AIR EJECTOR click for photo click for move
It is steam driven which generate vacuums and maintain on main condenser. MAIN ENGINE click for photo click for move
It is steam driven the turbine which drive the main propeller for moving the ship MAIN CONDENSOR click for photo click for move
It is a cooler to condensate steam back to water after use of machinery which is call exhaust steam from main engine and other machinery like upper T/Alt, lower T/Alt MANEUVERING VALVE click for photo click for move
Maneuvering valve is like to valve combine together with one inlet connection for steam and two outlets to drive ahead movement and astern movement for the ship moving forward and reverse.
12 BAR RANGE
It are step down steam from 60 bar steam reduce to 12 bar steam for use of other machinery like winches, cargo heating, gas compressor and etc.
I.P MAKE UP
It also step down for 60 bar steam reduce to 2.5 bar steam for top up any steam lower than 2.5 bar setting pressure of Intermediate Pressure steam. Normally this I.P steam is excessive exhaust steam from T/Alt and feed pump exhaust use for other purpose like dearator.
It is a condensate water from feed system to spry super heat steam about 500 deg c and reduce to 300 deg c which is call de-superheat Steam for use a machinery can be operate under de-superheat steam temperature.
