02 UPGRADING PROCEDURE
1. PRELIMINARY

Start installed SCT program Connect to Alfo 2. SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD

Select Equipment Version window Click on Download SW Setup In Download type mark Forced and Bench switch In Download file path select this dwl file: 010602_lclfe1.dwl Click on Start and confirm by clicking on Proceed to download button. Bench status will become Downloading At download end, a result banner will appear Wait for Alfo restart and Sct reconnection Check new loaded software version by re-opening Equipment Version window Software Version 010602 (LC-LF-E1) FW Boot E82089 010012 or 010011 FW Appl N90538 010402 FPGA 0 Not present FPGA 1 N90560 000200

CONFIGURATION AND ALARMS UPDATING

After upgrading will appear Unit Sw Mismatch Alarm because Alfo is without PPP configuration. In order to remove this alarm is needed to install SCT 4.5.2 (or successive) otherwise is possible to remove alarm using a WEB browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla)

CONFIGURATION AND ALARMS UPDATING WITH SCT 4.5.2 (or successive)

Click on Equipment-Communication SetUp Port Configuration Select 2Mb EOC tab Set the wished configuration or a default one (No 2Mb used means ALFO without PPP) Unit Sw Mismatch Alarm should disappear

Click on Equipment-Alarm Severity Config Set Properties of new alarm Tru SW RadioEquipment2MbEocLinkAlarm (This is the alarm used to show a PPP protocol connection fail, normally is Warning-Trap on)

CONFIGURATION AND ALARMS UPDATING WITH WEB-BROWSER

Disconnect SCT from unit (if connected) Connect to unit using WEB browser: insert on Address line Http://<unit ip address> Login page will appear: insert password siaemicr and click Login button If login is accepted, 3 frames will appear: A main frame on the center-right of the screen (to view status and set parameters) An option list frame on the left (to select option and view related main frame) An alarm summary frame on the high-left (to view current alarms/operations summary) On the list frame, select CONFIGURATION E1 settings On the main frame, change E1 Network configuration, or confirm the default one, clicking on related Apply button On the list frame, select CONFIGURATION Alarm settings On the main frame, scroll alarms to find E1 Eoc link alarm Select this alarm clicking on related check box Change alarm properties (from Disabled to sev. Warning-trap On) and then click on related Apply button
