1.0 Introduction This standard specification shall be applied to the DC UPS Systems providing reliable dc power to various control systems, electrical switchgear components, dc critical lighting and instrumentation systems. 2.0 Abbreviations and Definitions 2.1 Abbreviations MTBF- Mean Time Between Failure MTTR- Mean Time to Repair Ni-cd- Nickel Cadmium PCB- Printed Circuit Board PIV- Peak Inverse Voltage VRLA- Valve regulated Lead Acid

2.2 Definitions

Partial Discharged Condition of a battery- It is the condition reached when the battery has been discharged to the point it can no longer deliver its rated output within the permissible tolerances, Float Charging- It is passing of an electric current through a battery by applying a constant voltage from the rectifier/charger, such as to restore the battery to a predetermined state of charge in a limited time span. Quick Charging- It is passing of an electric current through a battery by applying a controlled voltage from the rectifier/charger, such as to restore the battery to a predetermined state of charge in a limited time span. Starting Voltage- It is the voltage present at the battery terminals when it starts to discharge. Final (or end of discharge) Voltage- It is the voltage at which battery discharge is terminated. Nominal Capacity of a VRLA cell- It is a reference value, to be declared by the manufacturer,which is valid for the discharge of a new cell at the reference temperature of 25 Deg C and a discharge current= in which discharge time is 20 hours to a final voltage of 1.75 volts. For nickel cadmium cell, it is the quantity of electricity C5Ah declared by the manufacturer which a single cell can deliver when discharged at a reference test current of 0.2ItA to a final voltage of 1.0 volts at 20 Deg C after charging, storing and discharging under the conditions specified in IEC 60623.

Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF)- Represents the predicted duration of trouble free operation and is calculated as follows: MTBF (hours) = Operating hours/ Number of faults resulting in outrage

Non- Flame Propagating Material- It is one, which, without any further admixture, will not, when ignited, continue to burn nor cause other material, in contact with or adjacent to it, to ignite. Valve regulated Cell- It is secondary cell which is closed under normal conditions but which has an arrangement which allows the escape of gas if the internal pressure exceeds predetermined value. The cell cannot normally receive addition to the electrolyte.

4.0 Service and environmental conditions The atmosphere of the installation premises shall be considered as corrosive, as normally associated with ports, shipyards etc. Due to high humidity experienced in areas of installation, all components such as nuts, bolts and washers etc. shall be of corrosion resistant material (galvanised) and shall be tropicalized. Anti-condensation heaters shall be provided in the rectifier/charger and dc distribution board cubicles. The DC UPS System shall be installed indoor in an air-conditioned or ventilated room in nonhazardous classified area. The batteries shall be located in the battery room suitably ventilated and cooled from the HVAC system. The Contractor shall ensure necessary airflow is maintained for adequate removal/extraction of the hydrogen gas. All the components of the DC UPS system shall be designed for trouble free operation in case of failure of HVAC system.

The maximum, minimum and design ambient temperatures shall be 5.0 Requirements 5.1 General Requirements The system shall be designed for a service life of at least twenty years in the marine environment. The Contractor shall submit the MTBF and MTTR data for approval of the client or client representative. The MTBF for the rectifier/charger modules, in no case, shall be less than 100,000 hours. All copper must be tined and/or covered with insulation. All materials shall be self-extinguishing type. The Contractor shall be responsible for all the co-ordination required with the battery manufacturer. 5.2 Performance Requirements 5.2.1 Electrical Power System

a. Supply Voltage- 440V, 3 phase AC, solidly grounded with maximum distortion in the power supply 5%. b. Voltage tolerance- +/-10% c. Supply frequency- 50Hz +/-5% d. Output Voltage e. Load cycle f. Battery Type- Nickel Cadmium, vented recombination type Transient voltage depression down to 80% of the rated voltage shall not affect the performance of the DC UPS System. The DC UPS System shall be suitable for operating satisfactorily under such conditions also. Under these transient conditions, battery should not discharge. The DC UPS System shall operate satisfactorily on the power supply fed from emergency diesel engine generator sets. 5.3 Configuration The DC UPS System shall be designed to provide a continuous and uninterruptible DC power supply to all the switchgear protection systems. During any interruption of normal mains power supply and or failure of rectifier/charger units, the battery bank shall provide DC power to the critical loads for the duration of 3.5 hours. The DC UPS System shall comprise of two rectifier/charger units (each of 100% rating) and two sets of batteries (each of 50% rating) of identical rating design and rating. The DC UPS System shall be fed from 2 nos. independent feeders. Each feeder shall feed one rectifier/charger unit. In case of availability of emergency supply, one of the feeders shall be from the emergency switchboard. A DC Distribution board comprising of incomer and outgoing circuits shall be provided. Rating and number of outgoing circuits shall be as per the information provided by the manufacturer.

The Contractor shall develop a detailed Single Line Diagram showing all hardware required to meet the operational requirements as stated in this document. 5.4 Operation The DC UPS System shall operate under following modes: a. Normal modeBoth the rectifier/chargers shall be operating in parallel sharing the load equally and simultaneously float charging their respective batteries. Suitable dropper diodes shall be used to drop the voltage on the load side to the rated value. b. Failure of any rectifier/chargers and incoming supply feedersDuring this condition, the load will be fed from the healthy rectifier/charger and both the batteries will be connected to the healthy charger. Faulty rectifier/charger shall automatically get disconnected from the healthy system. c. Failure of both the rectifier/chargers and incoming supply feedersDuring this condition, the load will be fed from the both the batteries and the batteries will operate in parallel. Dropper diodes will be bypassed using electronic switches and contactors. The rectifier/charger units shall restart automatically upon restoration of the incoming power supplies following any interruptions. Quick charging operation shall be interlocked such that only one battery bank at a time is under quick charging. During this operation, the battery and rectifier/charger under quick charging operation shall be disconnected automatically from the load and other rectifier/charger. Full isolation facility for the individual equipment of the DC UPS System shall be provided for safe maintenance and repair. 5.5 Rectifier/charger sizing criteria Each rectifier/charger unit shall be sized for any of the following conditions whichever is most stringent: a. Off-line quick charging of battery b. On-line float charging of both the batteries while feeding the loads c. Initial charging of uncharged battery Detailed rectifier/charger sizing calculations shall be submitted by the Contractor for approval of the Consultant or client representative. 6.0 Design and construction The complete DC UPS System shall be so designed and manufactured that under conditions of normal use and likely fault conditions, it provides protection against risks to personnel injury from electric shocks and other hazards. All equipment and components shall be capable of withstanding the thermal and dynamic stresses resulting from internal and external short circuits and circuit switching operations etc. Damage arising from component failure shall be confined to the component concerned.

Equipment and components shall be arranged in compartments such that discrete parts of the system can be isolated under fault conditions and made safe for maintenance work to be undertaken with the rest of the system in service. 6.1 Rectifier/charger units a. The rectifier/charger units shall be identical in design and rating. Each rectifier/charger shall have a 3 phase full wave, controlled rectifier bridge with protective devices designed for use with selected battery (Ni-cd or VRLA). b. The rectifier/charger unit shall be of solid-state design, constant voltage and current limiting type to match battery characteristics and shall incorporate a soft start feature to gradually accept load on initial energising. All electronic power devices including thyristors, transistors, diodes etc. shall be sized to carry 150% of the rated current. These devices shall not experience a PIV greater than 50% of the rated voltage. Non-electronic components like transformers, reactors, switches, bus bars etc. shall be rated for at least 15% of the rated current. c. Each rectifier/charger shall be provided with a transformer at the input. The transformer shall be natural air cooled, dry type suitable for panel mounting. Earthed screen shall be provided between primary and secondary windings. d. Suitable protection system shall be provided having perfect discrimination throughout the system including the source of supply. For external short circuits, the rectifier/charger shall be protected by rapid shutdown of the semi-conducting power devices. e. The input and output circuits of the rectifier/charger unit shall be protected from hormonics and transient current and voltages. Suitable AC and DC surge protection devices shall be provided in the rectifier/charger circuits. Fast acting semi-conductor fuses shall be provided for protection against the internal short circuits. These fuses shall be complete with trip indication. Moulded case circuit breaker (MCCB) with short circuit and overload releases shall be provided as incomer to the rectifier/charger units. f. The rectifier/charger unit shall maintain the batteries in float operation and perform battery charging in float charge and quick charge mode. The battery current shall be monitored, controlled ad limited to the set value automatically. The Contractor shall ensure that the charging mode is selected in consultation by battery manufacturer i.e. single charging or dual charging, charge voltages, charging times and the procedure to avoid drying out of the electrolyte.

The rectifier/charger output voltage shall be limited to maximum +/-10% of the rated voltage when the battery is float charged while feeding the load. The rectifier/charger unit shall be adequate for quick charging the battery bank from fully discharge state to full capacity which will provide for a complete repetition of the duty as per battery manufacturer after 8 hours of charging. The rectifier/charger unit shall be provided with facilities to quick charge the battery by automatic and manual means through Auto/ Manual selector switch lockable in each position. Battery quick charge operation shall be controlled automatically according to the constant current/ constant

voltage characteristics. A timing relay shall be provided to control the quick charging operation and changeover to float mode after the preset time period as recommended by the battery manufacturer. Under quick charging mode, the DC output shall be maintained within +/-2% of the set value. After the completion of quick charging, the battery shall be connected to the charged under float mode. The system shall be provided with sequential off-load quick charging of batteries. The Contractor shall ensure that the facility for initial charging of uncharged battery, as applicable, shall also be provided and the rectifier/charger is sized accordingly. g. The rectifier/charger unit steady state DC output voltage variations shall be within +/-1% of the set charging value in float charging mode during load variations from zero to rated rectifier output, and during specified input voltage and frequency variations. The output voltage dynamic response of the rectifier/charger units with battery disconnected shall not vary more than +/-10% of the rated output voltage in the event of step load of up to 50% of the rated output. The output voltage shall be restored to a value within the steady state limits with 100 msec. h. Short time AC supply voltage depression of up to 20% due to motor starting and frequency dips shall not result in tripping of the rectifier/charging units or the initiation of battery discharge. The output shall not be adversely affected. i. The rectifier/charger units shall be provided with suitable filter circuits for smoothing the ripples in their outputs limiting to 2% with battery disconnected and on their incoming supply side limiting to 5%. The rectifier/charge units shall be designed to draw power from the main incoming supply at a minimum power factor of 0.8 lag while sharing the rated load in normal operation.

k. The rectifier/charger unit shall be designed to prevent the battery bank from flowing back to the rectifier/charger. Suitable blocking diodes shall be provided. Also reverse battery connection shall be provided. l. A suitable interlocking device shall be provided to ensure that initial/quick charging is inhibited on failure of the ventilation system of the battery room.

m. The DC system shall be unearthed. High impedance earth fault relay shall be provided for battery protection. A sensitive earth leakage current protection along with monitoring facility shall be provided within the rectifier/charger unit and the DC distribution board. n. All the isolating devices in the DC circuit shall be double pole type. DC contactors shall be operated through selector switch. o. Printed circuit boards (PCBs) used in the rectifier/charger units shall be plug in type mounted in standard racks and shall be fitted with handgrips for easy removal. Guides shall be provided for correct insertion of PCBs. The PCBs shall be provided with suitable locking/clamping mechanism so that they do not become loose on vibration or continuous usage. The PCBs shall be provided with LED status indicators, monitoring points, test connections and setting potentiometers in a readily accessible location which is visible without removing them.

p. All power switches shall be air break type rated for continuous duty. They shall comply with utilisation category AC32B and DC23B for AC and DC duty respectively as per IEC 60947. Contactors shall comply with utilisation category AC3 and DC5 for AC and AC duty respectively as per IEC 60947. q. The on line battery cell monitoring and battery discharge test facility to determine battery condition without disconnecting the DC UPS System from the load shall be provided. r. The efficiency of the DC UPS System shall be at least 80% at nominal load.

6.2 Rectifier and DC distribution board enclosures a. The enclosure housing the rectifier/charger and control circuits shall be indoor, free standing, totally enclosed, sheet steel cabinet that shall provide a degree of protection IP 42 in accordance with IEC 60529. No more than one rectifier/charger unit shall be installed in any one cabinet b. The DC Distribution Board shall be housed in a separate free standing cubicle and shall provide a degree of enclosure protection of IP 42 in accordance with IEC 60529. The DC Distribution Board shall be compartmentalised with each outgoing feeder in a separate compartment. The Distribution board shall include protective devices for all outgoing circuits. c. The panels shall be suitable for operation and maintenance with its rear side against a wall and with similar units located immediately on both sides. The panels shall be fully accessible from the front and suitable for operation and maintenance from the front only. All components shall be clearly identified and easily accessible. No component mounted on the exterior of the panels shall be less than 300 mm or more than 1800 mm from the base. All panel doors shall be fitted with locking devices. d. The minimum thickness of the sheet steel shall not be less than 1.5mm. The enclosure shall be provided with removable lifting hooks. The enclosure shall also be suitable for base and/or top lifting. e. The rectifier/charger enclosure shall be natural air cooled. Forced cooling of the system is not acceptable and forced ventilation of the system components shall not be considered. f. One or more suitably rated anti-condensation heaters shall be provided in the enclosures. The heaters shall be thermostatically controlled or self-limiting type suitable for a single phase supply of 230V AC, 50Hz.

6.3 Controls, Indicators, Metering, Alarms and Annunciations 6.3.1 Controls

The following control switches/circuit breakers and facilities shall be provided: Input circuit breaker with ON/OFF switch Auto/Manual selector switches Rectifier ON/OFF control switch Float/Quick charging selection push buttons Voltage and current adjustment potentiometer for float charging mode

Rectifier/Charger The following minimum indications, in the form of LEDs shall be provided on the panel front to enable verification of the operational status of the DC UPS System (indications shall be superimposed on a mimic diagram of the DC UPS System to identify the relevant components or circuits): AC input supply ON Rectifier/charger ON Battery on quick charge Battery on float charge Battery feeding load Battery temperature for VRLA batteries All indications shall be provided separately for each rectifier/charger unit. DC Distribution Board DC supply ON Outgoing feeder ON 6.3.3 Metering

The following digital or analogue displays or measuring instruments shall be provided on the panel front: AC ammeter with selector switch AC voltmeter with selector switch DC output voltmeter DC output ammeter DC voltmeter for battery voltage DC ammeter for battery DC earth leakage ammeter (mA) All meters shall be provided separately for each rectifier/charger unit and its respective battery. 4-20mA transmitters shall be provided for remote metering. 6.3.4 Alarms and Annunciations

The following alarms and annunciations shall be provided as a minimum: Load on battery Battery under voltage Battery disconnected DC earth fault, positive and negative DC over voltage DC under voltage AV input under voltage Rectifier failure High ripple voltage

Audio/visual annunciator windows with acknowledge, test, reset push buttons and hooter shall be provided at the front of the panel for the above alarms. All above alarms and trip contacts shall be wired to relay such that one common normally closed and one common normally open potential free contacts are provided for remote common alarm. 6.4 Battery bank The battery bank shall consist of an assembly of high quality, heavy duty cells of adequate Ah capacities. The cells shall be connected in series to provide the required output voltage. Paralleling of cells for achieving the required capacity shall not be acceptable. Each cell shall be sized for the rated capacity. The battery bank shall provide DC power to the critical loads for the 3.5 hours of duration. The Contractor shall determine the number and capacity of cells for forming the battery bank. An overall ageing factor of 1.25 ad design margin as per the manufacturers recommendation shall be considered. Necessary temperature correction factor shall also be taken into account for the ambient conditions. The Contractor shall submit detailed battery sizing calculation for approval of the Consultant or client representative. The battery cells shall conform to the following: a. The cell container shall be made from flame retardant, crack free, shock resistant proof translucent polypropylene. b. High and low electrolyte level lines shall be marked on the exterior of the containers by means of permanent markers, as applicable. c. All cell terminals shall have adequate current carrying capacity. Cell terminal posts shall be equipped with electrolyte- resistant connector bolts. The terminals shall be shrouded with suitable insulating material. d. All cell terminal posts, bolts and associated hardware shall be corrosion resistant. e. The battery cell interconnectors shall be made with suitably sized solid links. Inter row connection shall be made with insulated cables complete with lugs. Batteries shall be mounted on freestanding steel racks protected with epoxy finish. The racks shall be arranged to permit easy access to each row and tier of cells. Trays shall be provided for spillage of electrolyte which might have impact The battery shall be provided with two pole moulded case circuit breaker with shunt trip facility mounted in the DC UPS enclosure for total isolation of the battery from the rest of the system. The circuit breaker shall have an interlock with battery ventilation system for inhibition of initial/quick charging on ventilation failure. 6.5 Additional Requirements All circuit breakers and isolators shall be provided with locking facilities in OFF position All relay contacts and devices requiring external connection shall be wired to terminal blocks located inside the respective enclosures. All internal wiring, electrical components, relays, rheostats and terminal blocks shall be clearly tagged and identified, and terminals protected to IP2X minimum with shrouds or protective covers or screens.

Terminal blocks shall be arranged and positioned to afford easy for carrying out external cable terminations, testing, inspection and maintenance. Terminals for different voltages shall be segregated and the voltages shall be clearly indicated. Each terminal block shall be provided with 20% spare terminals. It shall be possible to test and adjust major components or circuits without disconnecting or removing them from the cabinet by using standard multi-meter and oscilloscope. Terminals shall be of screw clamp (or stud) type. Pressure plates shall be incorporated such that neither screws nor nuts bear directly on a wire. For internal wiring, not more than one wire shall be terminated under any terminal screw post. All internal wiring shall be PVC insulated, stranded copper conductors having 600V insulation grade. Minimum size of wire for control wiring shall be 1 sq. mm for AC and DC power wiring 2.5 sq. mm. Wiring of different voltages shall be segregated and routed in different trunking or trays. All meters, switches, pilot lights etc. mounted on the front panel shall be provided with permanent nameplates fixed with stainless steel screws. Nameplates shall be engraved on while-black-white traffolyte. All cable entries to the panel shall be from the bottom and suitable undrilled gland plates shall be provided for filed drilling.

6.6 Earthing and bonding The Contractor shall install a continuous tinned copper earth bus at the bottom of each enclosure, close to external cable glands to facilitate termination of the cable earth braids or armouring. The earth bus shall run through entire length of enclosure so that all the earthing conductors have ready access to it. Each end of the bus bar shall be fitted with an earth terminal for connection to the earth conductor to the earthing system. The electrical continuity of all exposed non-current carrying conductive parts shall be maintained, by bonding conductors between different parts of the UPS System, and by bonding of the earth bar. For battery racks, the Contractor shall supply two diagonally earthing bosses welded to the racks. 6.7 Noise limitation The supplier shall ensure that the audible noise level generated by the DC UPS System shall not exceed 70dBA at a distance of one metre for the complete operating range. 6.8 Electromagnetic Compatibility All the equipment shall meet the normal standards of electromagnetic compatibility applicable to the industrial environment as per IEC 61000. The performance of the DC UPS System shall not be affected or in any way degraded by the use of portable radio transmitters/receivers. 6.9 Painting

Painting for the enclosure shall be for tropical, marine and harsh conditions as described in service and environmental conditions. 6.10 Labelling

All labels and nameplates shall be engraved on white-black-white traffolyte. Warning labels shall have white letters on a red background. Caution labels shall have black letters on a yellow background. All labels shall be fixed by caution steel screws or rivets. The letters for the labels shall be of minimum 6 mm height and for nameplates the letter height shall be minimum 20mm. 6.10.1 Labelling of components Label shall be provided as follows: Each compartment shall be identified with a label at the front and rear on the fixed part of the assembly, marked with the cubicle reference and service description. Withdrawable parts shall be provided with circuit identification labels Labels shall be provided with unique code references corresponding to the manufacturers schematic diagrams for the control switches, indicating lamps, fuses, fuse links, selector switch positions, instruments and relays etc. 6.10.2 General Equipment Nameplate The following information shall be given on the general equipment nameplate for the rectifier/charger units: Manufacturers name or trademark Manufacturers serial and reference number of the product Type designation Purchasers name Purchase order number and date Year of manufacture Type of duty or class Input power supply details Rated output voltage and output current Recommended quick charge voltage, if applicable Degree of protection Total weight The following information shall be given on the general equipment nameplate for the DC Distribution board: Manufacturers name or trademark Manufacturers serial and reference number of the product Type designation Purchasers name Purchase order number and date Year of manufacture Rated voltage and current Degree of protection Total weight The batteries shall be identified by at least the following information on the surface in durable printing: Manufacturers name or trademark Manufacturers serial and reference number of the product

7.0 Inspection, Testing and commissioning All equipment of the DC UPS System shall be visually inspected for conformity with the latest issue of the approved drawings and documents of the material requisition on delivery of the equipment. The rectifier/charger units and DC distribution Board shall be tested in accordance with the applicable international standards. All tests shall be witnessed by the Consultant or client representative. Test certificates for PCB burn in test, battery discharge test, temperature rise test for DC distribution board and all breakers shall be made available to Consultant/client inspector. The following tests shall be performed for every DC UPS System: 7.1 Insulation test Insulation tests shall be carried out using AC power frequency voltage or DC voltage at the choice of the manufacturer. The test voltages, AC power source frequency and the duration of the test shall be as per IEC 60146. 7.2 Load Duration Test Both the rectifier/charger units shall be subjected to a load duration test performed at rated voltage prior to the execution of function tests. One rectifier/charger unit shall be loaded to its rated output at 0.8 power factor lagging throughout the 8 hours test period or until such time as monitored temperatures stabilise whichever is longer. If an appropriate load is not available to conduct the test, then it shall be carried out using resistive load. The load resistance shall then be such that the DC current is the rated value. The other rectifier/charger unit may be energised under partial load or zero load current conditions throughout the test period. The test shall record details of the load currents and measurement of temperature of electronic device and junction temperatures. 7.3 Functional Tests Functional test shall be performed on each rectifier/charger unit. If, during the execution of functional tests, an electronic component of the rectifier/charger is required to be replaced, e.g. due to malfunction or failure to fulfil the performance requirements of the specification, then the load duration test shall be repeated at rated current following which the functional tests shall be carried out. The following test shall be performed as part of functional testing: a. Rectifier/charger load test at constant output voltage

Measurement shall be carried out in float charging and quick charging operating modes. In each mode, measurements shall be carried out at nominal AC supply voltage and at zero, 50%, and 100% of rated output current. Measurement at 100% rated current shall be repeated at 90% and 110% of nominal AC supply voltage. Measurements shall comprise of input phase voltage, frequency, current and power and DC output voltage current, power and output voltage ripples. b. Rectifier/charger load test at constant output current limit Measurement shall be carried out in float charging and quick charging modes. In each mode, measurement shall be carried out when the rectifier is operating under DC output current limiting conditions with the DC output voltage between zero and the set value corresponding to constant voltage operation. Measurements shall comprise of DC output voltage and current. c. Parallel operation Parallel operation of both chargers, sharing of load and automatic isolation of faulty charger shall be verified. d. Rectifier/charger efficiency Rectifier/charger efficiency shall be determined by measurement of the active power input and output at 50%, 75% and 100% load. e. Rectifier/charger regulation test The specified voltage regulation shall be verified for steady state and transient conditions. f. Auxiliary equipment and control circuit test The correct functioning of all measuring instruments, alarms and indications, protections and control shall be verified. Checking of the co-ordination of protective devices shall also be verified. g. Noise test Noise shall be measured around the DC UPS system at 1 metre distance and its value shall be within the permissible limits. The complete DC UPS System shall be tested at site along with the Battery bank. During site acceptance tests, the supplier shall demonstrate all specified performance requirements of the DC UPS System. 8.0 Shipping, Handling and Storage The equipment shall be shipped in sections to suit ease of handling for transportation and installation. Preparation for shipment shall protect the auxiliary devices, accessories, etc. against corrosion, dampness, and breakage or vibration damage during transportation and handling.

Each shipping container shall be provided with supports in the form of suitable steel sections, lifting eye bolts etc. Location of lifting points shall be clearly marked on shipping containers and drawing. Each shipping section shall have its weight clearly marked on the container. Each shipping container shall be identified with the contents, purchase order number and item number. Battery cells shall be packed separately from other equipment. These shall shipped in the manner recommended by the battery manufacturer/supplier. 9.0 Spare Parts The Contractor/Supplier shall recommend and supply the required spare parts for commissioning and first year of nominal operation. The recommendation for the supply of required spare parts for two years of normal operation shall also be provided. 10.0 Documentation

The Contractor shall supply at least the following documents after receipt of the order and before inspection and testing: Plan and elevation drawings showing all major dimensions Equipment list Schematic diagrams Weight of panels and battery banks Instruction manuals for installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance. These documents must be specific to the equipment as purchased and not of a general nature. Spare parts list and inter-changeability record (SPIR) duly completed. Copies of Type Test Certificates Performance curves of the battery Health and safety information for handling, storage, removal and maintenance of batteries. All documents including documents for the bought out items shall show the relevant purchase order number, item name and description, manufacturers reference and dates etc. These shall be submitted in original as specified in the material requisition.
