of Is your life really any different from the next guy? Do you watch the same
television shows? Rent the same movies? Enjoy the same books? Fads?
Track Do you have similar ambitions for career, possessions, and self-interests?
What do you think about? What do you really enjoy? Where is your heart?
What do you spend your time doing?

The reason the narrow road is so much less traveled is

John 8:24
that few are willing to devote themselves to the journey.

3 Are You Really Saved?

Many acknowledge a belief in Jesus Christ and believe that they are saved, but their
lifestyle, thoughts, ambitions, interests and actions reveal just the opposite.
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace -
Romans
This tract8:6
will present scripture from the Bible to reveal just what it means to identify
with Jesus Christ. You may be surprised!
If you live for yourself and your desires, you‘ll die - Romans 8:8,13
You alone will stand before God one day for your own deeds. You have a personal
responsibility for your understanding of God’s Word, your walk through this life, and
your relationship with God. Romans 2:6, “Who will render to
Where will you stand? every man according to his deeds.”
Do not allow your eternal destination to rest on what others tell you to think or believe!
Judgment and The Lake of Fire are real! Read God’s Word!
4 Are You Living For Yourself (Flesh)?
Is your life centered mostly on the things you want to do or accomplish?
Romans 8:6-8, “For to be carnally minded is death ; but to be spiritually minded is life and
peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity (opposed) against God: for it is not subject to the law
of God, neither indeed can it be. So they that are in the flesh cannot please God.”
Romans 8:13, “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the spirit do
mortify (put to death) the deeds of the body, ye shall live.”
A follower of Christ lives to glorify God above all else (at all times), the sinner rejects
God’s claim on his life and lives to please himself.
Galatians 6:8, “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that
soweth to the Spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting.”
Matthew 16:25, “ For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his
life for my sake shall find it.”
Romans 8:1, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who
walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit.” Good News!

5 You Cannot Serve Christ & The World (Self) – Must Choose
God will not share your devotion with anything else - fill in the blank (money, self, possessions,
relationships, career, hobbies, collections, philosophy, etc.). These things become IDOLS. God
demands total devotion or there will come a time of total separation.
Luke 16:13, “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the
other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

James 4:8, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners;
and purify your hearts, ye double-minded.”

James 1:8, “A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.”

The choice
Exodus 20:2, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” becomes eternal!
Exodus 34:14, “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord whose name is jealous, is a
jealous God:”
We were created to serve Him – otherwise you’ll never be complete

6 Are There Idols In Your Life?

Many things can be idols in your life. An idol takes focus off of God (comes between you and
God). Your life in Christ must be at a place where you can walk away from everything –
nothing has a hold on you. You serve God or you serve things, but you serve!
1 Timothy 6:10, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted
after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
Luke 12:15, “And he saith unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s
life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”
Luke 14:26, “If a man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children,
and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.”
Mark 10:21, “Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest:
go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in
heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.”
TRUE Believers will forsake all to follow - Luke 18:28-30
7 Do You Love the Things of the World?
I John 2:15-17, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love
the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is of the world, the lust of the flesh,
and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the
world passeth away, and the lust thereof: But he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.”

Romans 12:2, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of
your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

2 Corinthians 6:17, “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the
Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”

1 John 5:4-5, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory
that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that
believeth that Jesus is the Son of God”
Don’t sow to the flesh! – Galatians 6:8 Titus 2:11-12, James 1:27

8 What Things Do You Think About? (Put in your heart)

Do you enjoy television programming? Maybe renting movies? A typical day/night of TV
viewing (or rented movie) may include: Foul language, adultery, fornication, uncleanness,
lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions,
heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, lying, homosexuality, covetousness,
maliciousness, deceit, insolence, rebellion, disobedience to parents, gambling, spite,
pride/arrogance, wickedness, gossip, boasting, blasphemy, false accusers, incontinence,
unthankfulness, gluttony, mischief, scheming, selfishness, traitors, unmerciful, lovers of selves
– I think you get the idea. The TV mocks everything sacred and Holy in God’s Word.

Matthew 15:18, “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the
heart; and they defile the man.” What do you put in your heart?
Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever thing, are true, whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on
these things.” What does the TV teach your children?

9 What Things Do You Think About? (Put in your heart)

Those who commit the sins (incomplete list) identified on the previous page will not inherit the
kingdom of Heaven (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). But you do not actually have to commit them to be
guilty… We will justify what we choose not to overcome.
The Bible says you are guilty even if you take pleasure AS SEEN
in them that do these things. (Romans 1:32) ON TV
If you enjoy seeing sin, then you are the as same as doing it!
You are guilty even if you just think about doing these things.
There is just no way that you can put all the evils broadcast on
Matthew 5:27-30
TV into your heart (Matthew 15:18-19) and have any victory over sin in your life. So how can
you hope to please God based upon God’s written will for us contained in the Bible?
2 Corinthians 10:5, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself
against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of
Christ.” Taking pleasure in the sins that put
Jesus on the cross
10 Do You Sin?
John 8:34, “Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the
servant of sin.” That would mean sin is your - - 2 Peter 2:19

Romans 6:1-2, “WhatLord

shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God
forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?”

Romans 6:9-13, “Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no
more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he
liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto
God through Jesus Christ our Lord; Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye
should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of
unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead,
and your members of righteousness unto God.”

Romans 6:16, “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye
are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”

11 Do You Think God’s Grace Allows You to Sin?

Not perfect, just forgiven?
Galatians 2:17, “But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also
are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.”

1 John 3:8-9, “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the
beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy
the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his
seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”

From God  OK to Sin? – Think Again! Hell

Galatians 6:7, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man
soweth, that shall he also reap. Romans 6:22 & 8:6
Jesus came to take away our sins (1 John 3:5 & 8, John 1:29, Matthew 1:21)

12 So What Is Grace?
Be Righteous and John 3:16

Holy
Titus 2:11-14, “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to
all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should
live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that
blessed hope, and glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus
Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity
(sin), and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” 
You say you believe in God Mere head knowledge (agreeing with the facts of
Christ’s life is not sufficient. You’ll be lacking!
James 3:19, “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe,
and tremble.” Why do the demons tremble? Because they are in rebellion to God and are
destined for the lake of fire. Are you in rebellion (what does your life say)?
Faith without works is dead….James 2:17-18 Ephesians 4:7
13 Do You Seek to Know God and His Will in Your Life?
Matthew 5:6, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they
shall be filled.” Seek ye first the kingdom of God Matthew 6:33
James 4:8, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye
sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded.” His way or the highway (to hell)

Luke 11:9-10, “And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall
find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he
that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

Acts 17:27, “That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find
him, though he be not far from every one of us.”

Proverb 8:17, “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.”

 Perhaps you work God into your life around your will?

14 Do You Read God’s Word?

Psalm 119:11, “Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
Psalm 119:105, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
John 17:17, “Sanctify (set apart) them through thy truth, thy word is truth.”
Luke 21:33, “Heaven and earth shall pass away; but my words shall not pass away.”
John 8:31, “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word,
then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you
free.”
 John 8:51, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep
my saying, he shall never see death.”
What motivates you? What do you enjoy? The wickedness on television  or the
truth of God’s word? Where do you spend most of your time?
Have you ever read through God’s Word? Do others just tell you what’s in it? 
2 Timothy 3:16, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

15 Counting the Cost

After having sought the Lord, one must count the cost of following him before making any
decision on commitment. Are you willing to make Him the Lord of your life? Could you forsake
all? How about denying yourself and turning your back on the things of the world?
Many were led to the Lord with a quick prayer that may not have even mentioned repentance
and most likely nothing about the necessity of changing your life. What you are won with is
what you are won too. These folks didn’t sign-up for a commitment and thus they are worldly,
unchanged and uncommitted. Does this describe your life?
Luke 14:26-30,33 “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and
children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And
whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. For which of
you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have
sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it,
all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to
finish. So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my
disciple.” (Also read Luke 14:31-33 – how kings count the cost before battle)
16 Do You Understand Repentance?
Repentance is a changing of mind about one’s sin, one’s relationship with God, and about
Jesus Christ. It is sorrow for sin – a heart determined to forsake sin.

Isaiah 55:6-7, “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him, while he is near:
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return
unto the Lord, and he will have mercy on him.” Supreme commitment to Christ

Proverb 28:13, “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and
forsaketh them shall have mercy.”
Submit to Jesus as Lord of your Life! - Acts 2:36
Repentance focuses on what must be released and forsaken (sins) prior to what may be
gained (mercy and grace). There is a fundamental difference between a Christian and
2 Peter 3:9, Isaiah 1:18, Isaiah 59:2, an unbeliever. The Christian lives to Glorify God, the
Luke 13:3, Acts 3:19, Psalm 86:5 sinner rejects God's claim on his life and lives to please
himself.

17 Repentance
Sorrow and regret for past sins is not sufficient. The old wicked nature and sinful lifestyle must
be abandoned. Biblical faith demands and produces costly and radical changes in one’s life.
John the Baptist taught repentance in preparing the way for Christ: Mark 1:3-4, “The voice of
one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. John
did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.”
Jesus taught repentance: Luke 5:32, “I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
Mark 1:15, “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye
and believe the gospel.” (also Mark 2:17). Luke 13:3, “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye
shall all likewise perish.” Turn and Forsake the old way
Christ’s disciples taught repentance: Acts 2:38, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christfor the remission of sins and ye shall
receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Mark, 6:12, “And they went out and preached that men
should repent.” Supreme Commitment to Christ
Jesus said: Luke 24:47, “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his
name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

18 Have You Died To Self?

Colossians 3:3-4, “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When
Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”

2 Corinthians 5:15, “And that he died for all, that they which live should not
henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them and rose again.”

Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ
liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith of the Son of
God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (also 2 Timothy 2:11)

Matthew 16:25, “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will
lose his life for my sake shall find it.”
If you live for yourself,
John 3:30, Luke 9:24 you will die eternally!
19 Has The Old Man Really Died?

The old man would be that self-willed, self-seeking, rebellious, sinful person that does what is
right in his own eyes. One determined to live according to his own will in a manner based upon
his own fleshly desires. If you live as the world then you have not let go of the old man.
Romans 6:4-6, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was
raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of
life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the
likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body
of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.”
Ephesians 4:22-24, “That ye put off concerning the former conversation (life) the old man, which
is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye
put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”

2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new

creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

20 Do You Deny Yourself for Christ’s Sake?

Your whole life revolves around God and His will – not lip service
Luke 9:23, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily,
and follow me.”
Be willing to forsake all for Him – everyday!
Matthew 10:38, “And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me is not worthy of me.”
Luke 14:27, 33, “And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my
disciple.” So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be
my disciple.”
Mark 12:29-30, “And Jesus answered him, The first of all
God must be the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is
your life’s one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all
priority! thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and
with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.”
Mark 7:6, “…This people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.”

21 Do You Obey Christ? Do You Love Him?

Hebrews 5:9, “And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them
that obey him;” Trust & obey – for there’s no other way!
John 14:21, “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he
that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to
him.”
John 14:15, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
1 John 2:3-5, “And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He
that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
But whosoever keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected; hereby we know
we are in him.” Serving God is not grievous when it is from the heart!
James 1:22, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
Luke 11:28, “But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.”
Revelation 14:12, 22:14, Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
22 Simplicity In Christ
2 Corinthians 11:3, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his
subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
God Hates Sin All men are Man could not defeat
sinners sin by himself
God in His great love & mercy Jesus willingly came and laid down his life thus
sent His Son (Jesus) to die for providing the atonement for our past sins; an
our sins - paying the price example for us to follow (sinless life); and gave
those who would follow him (make him as Lord of
We commit ourselves to him totally – love their lives) power to overcome sin and become

soul, and strength. We cleave to him - He is
our life. We serve and obey him out of love Our service to him produces fruit in our lives
(we want to – from the heart) not out of
which is a measure of whether we are

abiding in him. Finally we must endure until
other reason. (Follow the Bible)
the end.

23 A Really Good Example

John 15:1-11, “I AM the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me
that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it
may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean (pruned) through the word which I have spoken
unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide
in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that
abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do
nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men
gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words
abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father
glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so
have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in
my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things
have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.”
Can it be any clearer than this! Onl through Jesus!
The branch depends on the vine for everything
y in Him or you’re not
You’re

24 Some present God as having unconditional love and accepting of bad behavior (2 Peter 2:1-6).
Of course there are conditions! – there is a lake of fire that multitudes will be cast into (it
wouldn’t exist without conditions). You must repent and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord.
You must love and follow him otherwise you are just an unrepentant rebellious sinful person –
perhaps deceived on top of that! God proved His love by sending his Son (John 3:16) and
continues to by being longsuffering toward you that you will not perish but come to
repentance (2 Peter 3:9). How will you respond?
Seek His Kingdom!
Keep His Commandments
Repent!
LOVE Forgive Others

Obe Sin No More Be Holy

25 Have You Been Deceived
Jesus cautioned about deception often. Deceiver’s entered into the early church about as soon as
it was formed. They are all around today – in churches, on the TV. Read God’s Word & Pray!
Matthew 24:4, “And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.”
Matthew 7:15-16, “Beware of false Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the
prophets, which come to you in sheep’s midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as
clothing, but inwardly they are ravening serpents and harmless as doves.”
wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits.” Matthew 10:16
Mark 13:6, “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ (saying they believe in
Jesus); and shall deceive many.” All things examined in the light of God’s Word
2 Corinthians 11:13-15, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming
themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an
angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers
of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
Could be a minister, Sunday school teacher, church friend, or radio/TV personality.

26 Confusion? Always learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Theologians love to debate how one is saved, when one is saved, if salvation can be lost, how
much sin is too much, if you know for sure your saved, if you have fallen away can you come
back, about a gift (salvation) being free and not requiring anything, ARRRGGGG – Its all so
confusing and unnecessary. Usually people just want to know how little they can do and still
be OK, or how much compromise is allowed. They want a security without a commitment – A
Savior and not a Lord, plain and simple.
Dont Be Deceived!
If you truly love the Lord (Jesus) and He is THE focus of your life and you obey Him and keep
His commandments and cleave to Him while enduring to the end, then you will be saved – no
doubt. If you do not do this (or continue therein) then you have reason to fear and be troubled.
Deuteronomy 13:4, “Ye shall walk Mark 12:30, “And thou shalt love the Lord thy
after the Lord your God, and fear God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and
Him, and keep His commandments, with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this
and obey His voice, and ye shall is the first commandment.”
serve Him, and cleave unto Him.” He must be Lord of all!

27 Are You Following Jesus With All Your Heart?

1 Peter 2:21-22, “For even hereunto were we called: because Christ also suffered for us,
leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile
found in his mouth.
1 Peter 2:24, “Who his own self bare our sins in his
own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins,
1 Peter 1:16, “Because it is written,
should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye
Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
were healed (set free).”
Matthew 5:48, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”
Colossians 2:6, “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him.”

Leviticus 19:2, Deuteronomy 13:4, Colossians 1:28, Philippians 1:21

1 John 2:6, “He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”
Luke 6:40, “The disciple is not above his master, but everyone that is perfect shall be as his
master.”
28 The Power Comes From God
We could never live righteous and holy under our own strength. Isaiah 40:31 & 41:10
1 Thessalonians 1:5, “For the gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in
the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance;…”
John 1:12, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on his name.” (Also 1 John 5:4-5, Revelation 12:10-11)
John 14:15-17, “If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he
shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth;
whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know
him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” (Also John 16:7-8)
Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is
come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me…”
Power – The ability or capacity to perform an act effectively. 1 John 4:8-10

29 What Is the Proof of Your Faith?

One cannot have a great eternal hope in God and no evidence in their life to back it up:
Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen.”
James 2:18, “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy
faith, without (apart from) thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.”
Matthew 7:17, “Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth
forth evil fruit.”
The Test Matthew 7:20, “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
Galatians 5:22-25, “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness,
goodness, faith, meekness, temperance (self-control): against such there is no law. And they
that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts, If we live in the spirit,
let us also walk in the spirit.”
Will not inherit the kingdom of God!

30 Are You Living A Compromised Life? - Lukewarm

Revelation 3:15-16,19, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert
cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue (vomit)
thee out of my mouth. As many as I love I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.”

1 John 1:6, “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do
not the truth:”
Luke 6:46, “And why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not
the things which I say?”
Hebrews 10:38, “Now the just shall live by faith: But if any man draw back, my soul shall have
no pleasure in him.”

Luke 9:62, “And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking
back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Titus 1:16, “They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable,
and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate (worthless).” 2 Timothy 3:5
31 Do you Confess Christ Before Men? Are You Ashamed?
The world has no problem proclaiming theirwicked or beliefs. Do
deeds
you zealously confess Jesus before men? Your silence may be deafening!
Matthew 10:32-33, “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I
confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me
before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”
Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
Philippians 2:11
Luke 12:8-9, “Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men,
him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that
denieth me before men, shall be denied before the angels of God.” You will wish you
had one day
Mark 8:38, “Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and my words in this
adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed,
when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. 1 Peter 3:15

32 Many Are Self-Deceived 

Matthew 7:21, “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful
works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye
that work iniquity.”
They thought they were saved! Maybe they trusted in
man’s doctrine rather than God’s truth! Seek God!
Luke 13:23-24, “Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And
he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait (narrow) gate: for many, I say
unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.”

Matthew 22:14, “For many are called, but few are chosen.” Proverb 14:12

Matthew 24:13, “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

Revelation 3:5, “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I
will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my
Father, and before his angels.”

Colossians 1:21-23, “And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind
by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to
present you holy and unblameable and unreprovable in his sight: If ye continue in the
faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which
ye have heard…”

The branch must abide in the vine (continually)….John 15:1-11

Otherwise it withers, and is gathered up and cast into the fire.
34 Have You Been Persecuted For Christ’s Sake?
You should be
2 Timothy 3:12, “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”

to the end shall be saved.” (Also Mark 13:13)

their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s
sake.

John 15:18-19, “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye
were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I
have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. (also v20 & 1 Peter 4:1-2)

35 The Duty of Man

We should take heed to things required of us that are repeated over and over throughout the
Bible (Old and New Testaments):

Deuteronomy 13:4, “Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his
commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.” (Also
Deuteronomy 6:2, 10:12-13, 20, 11:1, Mark 12:29-30)

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his
commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into
judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”

1 John 3:24, “And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And
hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.”

Revelation 22:14, “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the
tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” (Also Revelation 12:17,14:12)

36 Have You Given Any Thought To Eternity?

Matthew 16:27 , “For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels;
and then shall reward every man according to his works.”
We are talking eternity here

against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to
every man according to his deeds:”

Secrets will be revealed! And some of our own – Matthew 12:36-37

have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.” John 12:48
