1. If u want something on DC Use Search function (press ctrl + S).

. If its there on DC youll find it else its not there on DC or other users havent shared. Search function works same for all users irrespective of being an admin. If you are not getting search results it could mean one of three things 1) User(s) sharing that file / folder are offline with no alternate sources. 2) That file / folder is not on dc anymore 3) U need to change your dc connection settings u can toggle between all the connection setting options in settings and try researching in each setting till you find out which one works best for you (produces desired result/ max results etc. ..) 2. Work of admins is not to download its to moderate the hub activity. 3. Every student in BITS get same net connection, So If you want something download yourself and share with other users as well. (Google sites for a day you will find lot of ways to download). 4. Most of the game chat-rooms are there so it would be nice of you to spam server ips there instead of doing it on main chat. 5. Dont share your program files like noobs for the sake of sharing. Properly share stuff so everyone can find everything that is available on dc at any time. Some people just come on dc to download and do not share any of the thing , dc is not about coming online downloading that days shows and going offline .If you think dc is only a waste of time think again if everyone thought like you there would be no releases at all . Thats where dc is heading @this rare anyways. 6. Ping admins only if you cant find it after searching. After all we too are users first what magic can we work that you and Google cant !! 7. If you have a file in your download queue and its not downloading try the following Setting the priority highest (right click on the object tin the download list you will get set priority, change the priority there. Search for alternates (in right click on object in download list again!!) 8. Go to File Settings Advanced. When you select advanced (not the options that drop down when u click on it twice) in the right half of the settings dialog box there will be a list of options u cans select and deselect in those search for Add finished files to share immediately (if shared) select this option and then go to sharing and share your dc downloads folder . So next time you finish downloading a TV show that just released others can download from you . And same goes for you, when another 3rd party finishes downloading the file he will automatically become a source and if his slots are free you can download form him too so its faster no more taking time to download new releases as soon as they release. BUT remember for 8 to work you ALL need to stay online for a short while at least after downloading the file, anyways most of you are going to watch the show y not minimize dc and let run in the background . Let others enjoy the benefits of dc too. LASTLY SHARE WATEVER LITTLE YOU CAN . Not your C: . 30 -50 GB of decent stuff (even stuff already on dc) wont bring your HDD life drastically nor will it affect your comp/ lappys performance that greatly But in some time it will make a difference to the DC experience as a whole CONTRIBUTE to DC if you want it to contribute to your everyday life @ BPGC else there will come a day when there will truly be no releases in dc , no shares , NOTHING
