WALKTHROUGH ANIMATION GUIDE
Written by: The KT Team
WALKTHROUGH ANIMATION
Preface:
The good news is that Kerkythea will do it all without you touching a finger.
You can sleep while the render process is running.
IMPORTANT NOTICE!
To follow this guide, you need to have basic knowledge about Kerkythea, how to apply materials
and render settings! You can get this knowledge by downloading our Getting Started guide,
which is available at http://www.kerkythea.net
We also advise you to visit the KT Forum, where you can find many resources and useful tips and
tricks posted by fellow KT users.
You can apply the cameras to your Walkthrough in two different ways.
Or click
Tools > Walkthrough Animation…
without selecting any cameras from the Scene Tree View
and then click the “Add Node” button for as many cameras
as you need to be used in the Walkthrough animation.
Use the pull-down and choose the cameras in each node and apply the speed between the
camera transitions. (Zero, Very Slow, Slow, Normal, Fast, Very Fast)
After having done the above steps, you can see the name of
your Walkthrough Animation below the
camera list in the Scene Tree View.
Please note that the animated camera path will have the
Right speed if you toggle the view to Wireframe mode.
IMPORTANT NOTICE!
If you hit the “Stop Render (Immediately)” button you will cancel the render process of the
animation completely!
You can’t use this to “Pause” the process and you’ll need to start re-render from first image.
Upon completion of the rendered animation, all images will be saved in the folder specified and you
can assemble these image-files to a video-file (I.e. an AVI-file) by using programs like
http://www.virtualdub.org
http://www.dandans.com/ImageVideoMachine.htm
or similar programs.
