Introduction
Land Administration still remains a big challenge for developing countries. Economic development is underpinned by proper land administration. Developments in technology have provided dependable alternatives to an otherwise complex challenge.

The kingdom of Swaziland is experiencing the same challenges and as a result, it has resorted to facing these challenges headon.

Free-hold
This is land that is fully owned by individuals or companies Its extent or boundaries are fully defined A Title exists detailing the ownership of the property It can exchange ownership

Lease-hold
This is land that is leased for a period of time usually 99 years by individuals or companies. On expiry of the lease period the land reverts back to the owner Its extent or boundaries are fully defined A Title exists detailing the ownership of the property It can exchange ownership

Concession Land
This is land that was given to foreigners to use for a special purpose. The nature of the agreement was a lease for mining or grazing. On expiry of the lease the land was reverted back to the Swazi Nation.

Swazi Nation Land
This is communal that runs from generation to generation It is administered by Chiefs It can be allocated to somebody else should the current owners decide to leave.

Crown Land
This is government land that vests in the king Government has delegated powers to control, develop and dispose of this land Generally takes the form of Free-hold

Conclusion
There is a need to formulate and enact a Swazi Land Administration Act to clarify the mandate of Chiefs and empower them as important players in land administration There is a need to establish a single ministry responsible for all land related matters There should be timely control of Peri-urban areas in consultation with appropriate stakeholders
