WHAT
A high school Electric Vehicle Competition and learning experience. Come be a part of an exhilarating two-day event featuring student built, full-scale electric vehicles and competitions. Participate in workshops designed to educate about real world EV conversions. New this Year: a proposed small-scale engineered EV program (Electrathon-based Go Karts). There will be a workshop to build a kit, see different designs, and learn more.
WHO
Any high school wanting to compete with an electric conversion vehicle or interested in seeing what the excitement is about. Its a great opportunity to learn how you can become involved with the EV Challenge program.

AUTOCROSS
Vehicles will navigate through a road obstacle course with the goal of finishing the course in the lowest time without a cone penalty. Up to five runs will be possible.
JEOPARDY
Two member teams will compete against other school teams in an EV knowledge jeopardy tournament style event. Topics and terms will be provided to schools when registration information has been received.
PIT CREW
An annual favorite! Four member teams will compete to see who can change and rotate the tires on one side of a vehicle. Fastest time wins! (start practicing)
RANGE
Vehicles will travel around the 2 mile NCCAR test track at a specified speed to determine who has the vehicle that can last the longest. Steady and efficient!
TROUBLESHOOTING
Students will find and correct faults using predefined circuits in a timed event of electrical schematic diagram knowledge
Qualifications / Requirements
All vehicles will be inspected for mechanical and electrical safety. Any vehicle determined to be unsafe will not be allowed to compete. If you can get the vehicle within compliance as per the EV Challenge vehicle rules and specifications, you may be eligible to compete after judging again. During this years NEAT EV Rally, we will be presenting a proposed Pilot Program for Electrathon-based small vehicles. Jack Martin is spearheading the effort to bring a small-scale electric vehicle program to compete as an additional class during the yearly EV Challenge final event.
A workshop, scheduled for Friday night and Saturday afternoon of the NEAT EV Rally, will provide information and showcase the building of the cSTEM Cycle kit designed by Jack Martin. See workshop agenda, below.
