Feasibility Studies Risk Profile Project Programme Procurement Strategy Scope of Service
Studies undertaken on a given site to test the feasibility of the brief against a specific site and to consider how site wide issues are dealt with. Determining the Employers Risk Profile is an essential component in determining the Project Programme and Procurement Strategy. The overall period for the design, construction, soft landing activities and all related activities of a project. The strategy that sets out the process for tendering and contracting with the Contractor. The services to be provided in relation to each role on a project. It is essential that the Scope of Service is set out during the preparation stage so that each party can provide the fees for required Scope of Service and where relevant ensuring that their fees allow for the production of Project Information to the necessary Level of Detail. A matrix that sets out who is responsible for designing each aspect of the project and when. This document would set out the extent of Performance Specified Work. The document would be created at a strategic level at stage 1 and fine tuned to the concept design at the end of stage 2 in order to ensure that there are no design responsibility ambiguities at stages 3, 4 and 5. The Strategy that sets out the extent of technologies, including BIM and any supporting processes, to be used on the project and the specific software packages that will be used by each member of the team. This Strategy is prepared in the Preparation Stage to enable any interoperability issues to be addressed before the design phases commence. This strategy would also look at how information is to be communicated: by e-mail, FTP site or using a managed 3D party Common Data Environment as well as the file formats that information will provided in. Soft Landings Strategy. The client will require the formal issue of information for review and sign-off at key stages of the project. The Project Team may also have additional formal Information Exchanges as well as the many informal exchanges that occur as part of the on-going iterative design process.
