Compute the magnitude of the moment about
point A produced by the three forces and a couple.


Solution

The three forces will not produce any moment about
point A as their lines of action are passing through A.
Moment will be only due to the couple of 10 kN.m.

Therefore, assuming counter clockwise moment as
