A reference in the world of business and technology...

Initially, I knew that Steve seemed to be a great man but mostly for his communication skills and his products. Since I have started my executive MBA, I am convinced he was really a source of inspiration in terms of strategy, human value, determination and visionary. I have been deeply touched by your speech at Stanford and will remember forever... God bless you. Heaven is waiting for you to pursue your quest of innovation. Nicolas from France

The Loss of An Iconic Figure

For a reason I can't quite articulate, I am deeply moved by the passing of Steve Jobs. I have never met the man, and yet I find myself writing this email. As an educator in the state of Maine, we have a contract with Apple for our MLTI project that places laptops in the hands of every student from grades 7 -12, and many more of the older versions are being used by students in the lower grades. We have been collaborative partners with Apple for the past decade, helping students prepare for the 21st Century with authentic and critical knowledge of technology. I sit here now with my own Mac laptop writing this email, looking across the room at my iPod Touch, iPod, and iPad wondering about the future of a company I have put so much trust in for my technological needs, realizing just how much of that trust was placed on the many introductory video clips I have watched about the latest and greatest Apple creation, presented by Mr. Jobs. To watch them was to believe...but now I realize that it was he I was trusting. I'm sure that Apple will continue his legacy, but certainly it is difficult hearing that the heart and sole of the company has passed. Even more, after reading about his relationship with his family, it is only now that realize just how great a man he was. With all my prayers and sympathy...rest in peace Mr. Jobs. Kirby from Maine

He Will Be Missed
Steve was a visionary, he was an ever-illuminating charisma that changed the way we, common people view computers. He was one of the most influential Americans to ever walk the face of earth. He will be sincerely missed by me and my family. Arindam

I'm a user experience designer

I'm a UX designer living in CO. I firmly believe that Steve Jobs had a significant hand in demonstrating the need for my profession. Ensuring that beautifully designed experiences with products are the norm, not an anomaly. Thanks, Steve for everything you've brought and taught. Pete from Denver

We miss you steve

I was shocked today when i heard that Steve passed away, a great human being and a role model for our life. We miss you so much steve. Condolences to family and friends. Nishad

Goodbye friend
As a 47 year old, I grew up "knowing" Steve Jobs. My first computer was a T RS-80 but only lasted 3 months once I saw Steve's Apple IIc. I was hooked because it opened up a whole new way of thinking. At that point I knew Ste ve was different than IBM, Microsoft, Dell, and everyone else. All throughout the years of watching Steve's ups and downs, I have always a dmired his commitment to Perfection; a standard that most in the business had no understanding. Even now more than 30 years later, Steve continued to change then world and challenge what was conceivable. Far off in Atlanta I see how we should ne ver be happy with the standard, old, beige boxes but to push for imagination (or perhaps to be inspired by a Xerox idea) and go after it with ferociou s tenacity. Thank you, Steve. A sad day, indeed. Kelly from USA

Condolences
The world has truly lost an amazing person. Steve Jobs' vision, genius, and his capacity to believe and his ability to laugh at the impossible is truly boundless. His drive for excellence and his passion for brilliant, consumer-friendly technology has left an indelible mark on the world. Never before has the world seen such a man since the likes of Albert Einstein, Johannes Gutenberg, Nicolas Copernicus, Galileo Galilei, and Johannes Kepler. One man's vision has become the reality of many. "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life." -Steve Jobs. Today, we are all at a loss. Athanasius

Innovator and visionary

Einstein, da Vinci... Jobs? A true innovator and visionary. Thank You. Rustin

A creator and Innovator

I was shocked and sad to hear the news of his death, there is no replacement for a creator and innovator for Apple. He was indeed a great mentor to so many and I will never forget his great influence in the world of Desktop Publishing and make it affordable and flexible to so
