Constructed using many environmentally friendly elements these pods fit seamlessly into the natural surroundings of your garden. Spacious enough to suit several work or leisure pursuitsfrom music rooms to design studios or summerhouses these pods can be constructed with separate defined spaces making them perfect for more than one individual. Sustainably sourced Siberian Larch cladding offers outstanding durability and longevity whilst the optional large roof light floods the space with ambient light. Interior lighting from low energy wall mounted up/down lights, super insulated walls and underfloor heating keep the space warm as well as bright allyeararound.

5 x 240v 13amp brushed flush fitting stainless steel double sockets, light switch and data/telephone point. Consumer unit with RCD and MCB protection. Installed by fully qualified Electricians to comply withBuildingRegulations.

External Finish

Premium grade Siberian Larch cladding with powder coated aluminium trims and flashings. Stainless steel fixings forlongevity. Modern maintenance free standing seam roof with matt finish.

Security

Secured by Design accreditation on windows/doors. Three point re-enforced espangolette locking mechanism with hardened steel hook bolts. Enhanced hinges and angled screws. Security sealant to toughened glass.

Glazing 26mm double glazed, argon filled, energy glass withaneutral low E coating to reflect heat back in to thebuildingWindows are also fitted with a warm edge spacer. Durable and sustainable engineered timber frames withpowdercoated aluminium glazing beads. Trickle push vents to windows and doors to provide backgroundventilation. Satin stainless steel handle and Euro lock.

Our Pods are typically acoustically rated to Rw 40 dB (decibels). This compares very favourably to the sound insulation provided by more traditional masonry buildings. Optimum acoustic design environments for high end offices and other noise sensitive spaces are typically provided by an internal (Noise Rating) level of NR 3040. The Podspace range can provide this type of internal acoustic environment in all but the most challenging of external environments. A more detailed assessment is normally required to account for the expected performance of the on-site installation of any given pod.

Energy Performance

Thermal Insulation of walls, roof, floor, windows and door mean U value is less than 0.18W/m2K. The lower the figure the more energy efficient the building is. Air permeability is less than 2 m3/h m2 at 50 Pa.
