DESCRIPTION
Part of the Azimuth Frequency Converter & Combiner Family, the NTC/3474AA.A synthesized and agile frequency converter board allows flexible frequency conversion from any IF frequency (50-180 MHz) to any Lband frequency (950-1750 MHz) Both input and output are MCX connectors for further internal wiring into the Azimuth chassis. The output can be switched on/off, while the level can be adjusted over a range of 40 dB. (Output level -30 / +10 dBm) The gain between input and output is adjustable in 0.1 dB steps. When installed into the Azimuth chassis, the module will be recognized automatically, and the menu structure will be adapted accordingly.

APPLICATIONS
Part of the Azimuth series, this module can be installed as a stand-alone module for a simple conversion from IF to Lband, or used in conjunction with other devices, such as modulators, block frequency converters, or outdoor conditioners. This synthesized frequency converter is the successor of the Newtec NTC/2042/CB which is used worldwide since almost 10 years. Its wide level and frequency range yields the ideal tool for the transition from the older IF technology to the more flexible L-band used as an intermediate frequency. In combination with the Newtec block frequency converters (NTC/3750/xx), one can also build up an agile frequency converter from any IF frequency to e.g. C-, Ku-, or K-band. Its excellent frequency response and group delay variation makes it also ideal for wideband (SDH) transmissions on e.g. 72 MHz transponders. In combination with the NTC/3475AA.A, this module also provides direct conversion from 70 to 140 MHz or vice versa via its internal 750 MHz frequency bus, while the Lband remains available.
