In this lesson you will become familiar with the requirements of maintenance supervision. This knowledge will be an asset to yourself as well as your unit. NOTE: The operator must ensure that data contained in these areas are correct prior to performing PMCS. If any fields are not current notify the ULLS operator so he/she can update the data fields through the ULLS Menu process. During this period of instruction, you were taught the correct manuals to utilize to complete a PMCS, comparing the PMCS through examination utilizing the maintenance management, update 14, and how the DA form 5988-E is structured. (The instructor can build on this review to motivate the students). Determine if students have learned the material presented by a. Soliciting student questions and explanations b. Ask questions and getting answers from the students. c. Correct students misunderstandings.

STUDENT EVALUATION Student will be evaluated on a written examination for the POI File number 12C30-C05 (Ref TSP 12C30-C06). Student must score 70% or higher to receive a GO. A 30 minute After Action Review will be conducted after the examination. Include this information also in the Student Evaluation Plan which documents course graduation requirements. The using school assigns course weight to the evaluation. Rapid, immediate feedback is essential to effective learning. Schedule and provide feedback on the evaluation and any information to help answer students questions about the test. Provide remedial training as needed.

Evaluation
The student will accurately conduct a PMCS, identify deficiencies and score 70% or higher on the end of annex examination.
Medium Girder Bridge Set / Medium Girder Erection Set / Link Reinforcement Set / Bailey Bridge Set/ Bailey Bridge Erection Set. The instructor will appoint one student to be the section leader, he/she will supervise that section performing PMCS on a piece of equipment. Each student will participate during the practical exercise gathering information on either DA form 2404 or DA form 5988-E. The students will utilize the correct manuals for that piece of equipment. Refer to TM 5-5420-212-23, FM 5-277, and Update 14 Maintenance Management. The PMCS will be given to the section leader when finished, highlight all deadline items then forward to the instructors. 1. Give a DA Form 5988-E or DA Form 2404. a. Operator b. Squad leader 2. Give required manual to each student performing a PMCS. 3. Complies with lubrication manual. 4. Give finished PMCS to section leader for review. 5. Section leader highlights deadline items and gives to instructors.
