All Round Development of Students

The Institute provides all the required facilities for sports and recreation to ensure overall development of
every student.
Students can join various clubs existing on the campus for example Music Club, Astronomy Club, Photography
club, Poetry club, Dance club, Mime club, etc. Large number of students also take part in societal develop-
ment works through various activity groups in campus.
The Students' Activity Centre is the nerve centre of all student activities on the campus. A number of literary
and social activities take place on the campus through out the year.
Each year students organize National Level Sports meet, National Level Cultural meet, Management Conven-
tion, Academic week etc. Students across various campuses of Indian Universities look forward to participate
in some of these events at BITS like OASIS, QUARK, APOGEE, WAVES etc.
BITS educational system puts ample opportunities for development of Soft Skill & Emotional Intelligence.
Many courses have mandatory class room presentation and group discussion components which help improve
communication skill.
Many students learn foreign languages like German, French, Japanese etc. on campus.
Campus Placement

The best times for Campus Placement are:

During August to November In first semester
During January to April In second semester

Students avail campus placement during their last semester on campus before graduation.

Out of the students graduating in a year, about 50% of students are available on campus in a given semester;
the other 50% of students at that time will be in the Practice School stations. As a consequence, there are two
placement sessions in a year. The first session is during August to November (in first semester) and the second
session is during January to April (in second semester). Most of the companies send their expert teams twice in
a year to meet all students of the final year batch.

BITS has a remarkable placement record and most of the students have their careers charted out well before
they complete graduation. More than 130 reputed companies conducted campus interviews of graduating stu-
dents in 2008-2009.

While most of the students will be graduating by the end of May/June, a few students will graduate by the
end of December.

There are no registration charges. Rooms with LCD projector and computer are provided for conducting pre-
placement talks. Rooms for aptitude tests, group discussions and interviews are also made available. Accom-
modation of visiting company executives can be arranged (on payment basis) at guest house within the campus
at Pilani. As the city of Goa has fully developed hospitality infrastructure in place, the guest house on campus
has limited accommodation.
