ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION STANDARD GENERAL NOTES:1) This Electrical Installation Standard ( Workmanship ) Documents covers most of the electrical installation practices that could be used by builder for offshore mobile unit projects. The builder could use any of the practices in this document, unless such a practice is not acceptable and
specifically stated in the Contract, or the practice is not in according to the contractual rules and regulation. 2) Dimensions are in metric (mm) if not otherwise specified. 3) Power cables shall be in single bank where space in the cable tray is available, otherwise limit to two banks, or maximum of twelve (12) in a bunch. 4) Cable for high voltage is not to be run on same cableway with low voltage systems. Cables for low voltage systems are divided into four (4) groups. And the cables in different groups shall be kept separate throughout. (a) Cableway L1: AC power (voltages: 690,480,220,110) cables and control cables that are not susceptible to EMC. (b) Cableway L2: VFD cables only. (c) Cableway L3: Instrumentation, control cables, and communication cables susceptible to EMC. (d) Cableway L4: IS cables,( Cables from L3 can be run on this cableway only if they lay the cables on the cableway with a 50mm separation between L3 cable group and L4 cable group.)
NOTE:
Cableway drawings are shown in hot dipped Galvanized steel All External areas, Drilling ,and Mud areas Stainless steel cableways will be used. Teflon strips will be used as insulation between stainless steel cableway and hangers and the Platform steelwork.
