REMARK: Whatever the Pulper capacity may be, the essential priority concerning the choice of starting is that it must be able, in all cases, to generate a torque which is sufficient to drive the rotor at a restart after an unplanned or intentionnal stop with the pulper being full. For this reason, each time as possible, we strongly recommend the direct starting mode which supplies the highest torque. If this is not possible (power supply network is too weak), use of a starting system is required.

Cmax / CN > 2

CD : Starting torque withh Full voltage CN: Nominal torque with full voltage Cmax: Maximum torque with full voltage

CDR > 0.4 CN

CDR : Starting torque with reduced voltage Minimum value below which pulper starting becomes problematic Starting time= 5s 4 start ups per hour, with 2 conscutive starts being spaced less than 20 secondes starting conditions: DIRECT (See starting curves (p 2/3 and 3/3)) REMARK: STAR / DELTA type starters are proscribed 1.3 MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICS 1 Inertia of rotating masses, at the high speed (Motor shaft end) are respectively J1 for rotor only (empty pulper or with water)= 11 J2 for rotor and stock (operation consistency)= 33

kg.m kg.m

2 These figures are obtained by calculation so accurate possible. They are given using International System of units, i.e radius-mass. Mechanism and motor unit connection (pulleys or gearbox) are taken into account, but not motor inertia. 3 We give also, starting curves for which calculation assumptions are Inertia J1 and J2. Absobed torque in operation is about 20 and 80% of nominal (respectively for empty and full pulper). Hydraulic torque is a second power of rotation speed. A torque is needed at "zero-time" to "free" the pulp, when starting with full pulper. belt drive Gearbox 4 Motor unit connection: Driving an driven pulleys: / type: QVRG2 CUN.10 belt type and qty: Coupling: S16 /

NOTE you have to send us by return a "legible" motor sketch showing, without ambiguity, your final choice and the motor geometry; especially shaft end, possible flange, fixing lugs (holes), overall lenght and location of the terminal box must be perfectly determined. 1/3
