IMS HEALTH, INC., Danbury, CT 1999 - Present $2.2 billion global provider of market intelligence to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries; stand alone company spin-off from Cognizant Corporation in 1998. Fast track promotions of increasingly responsible strategic leadership roles spanning HR, Finance and Commercial Operations during periods of major transformation: growth, key leadership changes, economic downturns and reorganizations. Directed, with hands on involvement, several global standardization initiatives including the successful design and introduction of globally consistent incentive plans, the integration of performance management with compensation decisions and the implementation of a pay management system that is the foundation of IMSs Total Rewards philosophy. Collaborated with finance, IT and Data Services to identify opportunities to consolidate software licenses for large scale, widely used software to achieve economies of scale and benefits from volume pricing. COGNIZANT CORPORATION, Westport, CT 1996 - 1998 New company spin-off from the Dun and Bradstreet Corporation (D&B) in 1996, comprised of IMS Health, Nielsen Media Research and Gartner Group. Associate Manager, Data Services Directed the software re-licensing negotiation process to accommodate company trivestiture, resulted in a $4.8 million savings over estimated costs; and implemented a software contract management and modeling tool. THE DUN AND BRADSTREET CORPORATION, Wilton, CT 1995 - 1996 Independent Financial Consultant, Data Services Assisted Dun and Bradstreets internal mainframe management services group with the financial aspects associated with a reeng ineering process to consolidate 20 world wide data centers into 4 mega centers. Scope of engagement included: Assisted D&B project leader with the analysis of an industry first of its kind $200 million asset and services partnership covering hardware, software and financing requirements with savings of $25 million. Managed the implementation of 10 global enterprise software agreements, which accounted for 80% of the mainframe software worldwide; and developed allocation method for charge back of enterprise software costs.
