TRANSFORMING PRECEDENTS The diagram does not dictate the end product of the process,it simply informs it. Peter Eisenman
The grid has historically proven to be particularly effective field operation, extending a framework accross a vast surface for flexible & changing development over time. This organisation lends legbility and order to the surface while allowing for the authonomy and individuality of each part, and remaining open to permutations over time. I am interested in depicting both urban & interior qualities at the same time within one single space/object/setting. A simple change of the focus creates this ambiguous transitional space between urban interior, public & private. The photograph represents both the urbanity with its vividness and lively atmosphere, and shows interior qualities, creating this intimate private setting within the same space. In a w this photo represents a dialogue between two identical forms, appearing at times monolithic and dynamically translucent, changing over the course of a day.
