Kou8ll be surprised how many people think they don8t deserve greatness in life. Kou can8t believe how many athletes think about that great moment, that great race, that great win.

The power of the mind is one of the most important and cr cial +eys to any s ccess.
9f an athlete does a personal best time or does their personal best performance, and that athlete doesn8t win a :old 1edal at the 2lympics does that mean they lose( 2f course you8re going to say well that8s a ridiculous Muestion, of course they lose, they didn8t win the :old. 's 9 stated at the beginning of this eBook, it doesn8t matter what arena you8re playing in, the success principles in business, sport and life are e5actly the same. 98d like to share with you some of my key life lessons that 9 learned from my 2lympic e5perience that 9 now use in my daily life.

#esson , mber .<

9 learned that no matter where you came from or what sport you played, we all came together to do something we truly en4oyed. That is the way 9 try to go through life. Truly en4oying and being passionate about what 9 do makes success come that much easier. What are your strengths and talents( 7ave you identified what you en4oy doing( 're you doing these regularly(

#esson , mber 4<

The main lessons 9 took in to the 2lympics are the same lessons 9 took out: %. #. ). Dollow your dream, your visions Bvery dream has passion and e5citement Bvery passion has its destiny

#esson , mber 5<

2ne of the most important things 9 learned from my 2lympic 4ourney was the ability to make decisions in my life about what 9

www.SelinaScoble.com

really wanted. 1ost people wander through life, but very rarely do they ever make some concrete, gut>wrenching decisions. 'nd that3s usually because they aren3t %$$O clear on W7'T they want and W7K they want it. 6o you know what you want and why( What3s at the core of your desires( 6o you get pumped 4ust by thinking about it( Kou should.

#esson , mber 8<

1y personal method of preparation was a key to my success as an 2lympian. 1y consistency and persistence played a big part and it3s what 9 am most proud of. This was achieved by developing a process of achieving success that included visualizing a goal, focusing on it every day with pictures and Muotes on my wall, surrounding myself with positive and like minded people @including books and audio3s, anything that fed the mind with inspirationA and by being fle5ible and patient. 9t was that process > along with preparation, planning and the ability to stay focused > that helped me develop a habit of winning.

#esson , mber 5<

2ne of the big lessons that 9 took away from the 2lympics and what it took to get there was discipline. There is so much discipline on a daily basis as an athlete training for an 2lympics. Who wants to get up and practice / hours a day, E days a week, smashing their body through hell(; -et me tell you there were %$$$3s of times 9 wanted to Muit; But 9 focused on the dream, the vision, the outcome, what the 2lympics really meant to me, that3s what got me through the tough times. 9f you want it bad enough you will

www.SelinaScoble.com

figure out a way to get it. There is so much discipline 9 use in my daily life now as a business owner. 9t3s used to create some control and a good, strong foundation in my businesses.

#esson , mber =<

'fter the 2lympics, 9 realized that many people in their day to day lives give up when they first fail. eople tend to avoid challenges either due to a fear of commitment or a fear of failure. 2r they look for e5cuses and someone to blame for why they didn3t have the support, money or time to make it happen. 1y 2lympic e5perience taught me that when things aren3t going well 9 need to educate myself, to seek new skills and people with the e5pertise that 9 need. 's 9 heard Tony Jobbins once say, it3s a lack of JB&2=J!BD=-+B&& that3s the problem, not a lack of JB&2=J!B&.
