3. COMMISSION AND CASH DISCOUNT
a. All rates are net, non-commissionable. No cash discount.
b. When credit is granted, payment of advertising bills is due the 15th of the
month following publication. In the event of late payment, the publication
may disallow any discounts extended to the advertiser. A 1.5% per month
service charge is assessed for all late payments.
4. POLICY - ALL CLASSIFICATIONS
a. The subject matter, form, size, wording, illustration and typography of all
advertising copy received shall be subject to approval, revision,
classification, cancelation or rejection at anytime by the Publisher in their
sole and absolute discretion. Previous acceptance of any advertising copy
will not operate as a waiver of the Publisher’s rights hereunder to edit,
revise, classify, cancel or reject any advertising copy at any time.
b. No liability shall attach to the Publisher for the failure for any cause to
insert an advertisement.
c. Advertising simulating news must clearly be marked ‘Advertisement’
across the top of each ad column crossed.
d. Publisher may adjust the advertising rates upon 30 days written notice.
e. No brokered space accepted.
f. Except where specifically noted in the rate card, the Publisher neither sells
nor guarantees position. Every effort will be made to accommodate
reasonable position requests. Failure to meet position requests will not
constitute cause for adjustment, refund or rerun.
g. Advertiser hereby warrants and represents that the advertisement is
neither false nor defamatory. Advertiser agrees to indemnify and hold
harmless the Publisher from and against any cost or expense, including
legal fees and court costs, which are incurred as a result of or in connection
with any claim or action brought against the Publisher, which arises out of
any alleged false or defamatory matter.

b. PREPRINTED INSERT POLICIES
• Acceptance is subject to physical compatibility with mechanical inserting
equipment. The minimum size is 7” x 7” for folded pieces; 5” x 7” for
single card inserts; maximum is 12” x 11.5”. Minimum 60lb. bond stock
for card inserts. Inserts printed on glossy stock may require an additional
quantity. Not responsible for inserting problems if a sample was not
submitted in advance for acceptance.
• 4-page tab or 2-page standard inserts should be quarter folded.
• The Publisher reserves the right to reschedule any insert if a
mechanical problem arises.
• Due to variances in newspaper circulation draws on a day-to-day basis
the quantity you send us may be over or under what we need to fulfill
your distribution instructions on a given day. To assure efficient coverage
we will, depending on whether your supplied quantity is over or under our
need for that day, add distribution closest to each store or subtract
furthest away based on your buy in home-delivery. In addition we will
subtract from or add to single copy distribution based on variances in
draws. In both cases, we understand that home delivery is most valuable
and will act accordingly.
• Ship in boxes clearly labeled as to advertiser, paper and run date. Large
quantities should be delivered on pallets.
• Any inserts shipped to run on more than one run date must be
packaged and identified separately.
