Vtech USB 7100 + Vista fix Options

DorfSkype Sat Dec 8 2007, 17:44 Post #1

Hi,

New member
These forums were the second place I looked for a fix for my Vtech USB 7100 Skype-phone. No luck.

being manufactured before Vista and no software fix was planned.

BUT... Vtech's Canadian website has a software update (2.35) for Vista compatibility. Yay!

If this has been solved already, boo hiss on the new guy!

Thanks for making a great discovery! My USB7100 has been setting here on my desk as a landline only phone

ever since I switched to Vista. At first I thought V2.35 was going to work but now realize that even though I am
listening to Skype through the phone the microphone on the computers camera is still picking up my sound. Is

Hi,
Regular member
I discovered the download (software update 2.35) in the same way after an Email
to Vtech Customer Support yield a reply that was basically the same snarky

The software update for Vista works except that each time my computer goes into
"sleep" mode, upon waking, the Vtech USB7100 suite tells me that Skype needs
to be running, which it is, and even shutting down Skype and restarting does not
solve the issue. I need to reinstall update 2.35 in order to get it working. Has
anyone else experienced this problem?
Please don't make me go back to Vtech support which does not seem to be aware
that there is Vista suport for the USB7100.
Thanks.

Does anyone know if this is a SKYPE or VISTA issue? I'm hoping that it's not a Vtech issue with the driver because

However, I'm still having the problem where the Vtech USB7100 phone suite needs to be re-installed each time
my computer re-wakes from "sleep mode". Has anyone found a solution to that yet?
