OBJECTIVE: The objective of this project is :

To provide total security in home environment as well as business environment To reduce burglary rate. To develop homemade and low cost security system

WORKING: The project exhibits low cost home security system which is widely employed in our daily life. This system is designed to prevent the opening of the door by unauthorized persons. The structure of home security system contains a matrix key pad. The keypad interfaced to the controller is used as the password entry system to open/close the door. As soon as the user enters the correct password, the door lock opens. If the password entered is incorrect, then a security alarm beeps with an incorrect password indication on the LCD. This project incorporates the use of PIC microcontroller as central processing unit. Specifically the prototype make used of the 40pin PIC16F887 microcontroller. This home security system burnt a program inside the microcontroller to perform these following capabilities

This controller is used as a brain of our project. This controller is used because of its various applications that it contains and it has, that are used in our project. 2. LCD DISPLAY

Display is used to show which function is going on (start, left, right, and stop).we used a 16*2 LCD. 3. LOCKING SYSTEM

4. POWER SUPPLY UNIT

APPLICATIONS:

It can monitor the surroundings to not only protect our properties but also lives. Besides, it can be highly customized to suit each one's need and preference. The development of this technology for the field of security system is not only possible, but that it could even prove to be very useful.

ADVANTAGES: Wide applications Low cost Highly secure

DISADVANTAGES: Cut Phone Line False Alarms

FUTURE ASPECTS: The prototype home security system developed in this project did well in achieving its original goals.However,we can modify it to be operated remotely.
