The first e.ample of this is being% taught throughout the class to use non$erbal mo$ements to grab the attention of your audience( sing your hands and body motions ma*es the audience get into 'hat you/re saying( Also another important thing to remember is to mo$e around the room and that includes 'al*ing throughout the classroom to e$en get the people in the bac* to pay attention( Another e.ample of this is using $isuals from #o'erpoints% mo$ie clips% or games to get students in$ol$ed( !hen students are gi$en $isual aids it helps out the students that are $isual learners obtain the material that you are teaching( 0or this assignment & had to use a $isual aid and had to ma*e an interacti$e game to sho' the importance of team 'or*( & made a #o'erpoint of 'hy it 'as important to al'ays 'or* as a team( Some of the ad$antages of this is that you ha$e more ideas from other students and also that there are more students to ma*e sure e$erything your doing is right( & had pic*ed out t'o interacti$e games 'here each student had a partner and 'ith their finger they had to dra' shapes and 'rite out 'ords on the other persons bac*( This sho'ed that you had to successfully 'or* together as a team other'ise you 'ould not get anything accomplished because if one person 'as not 'illing to ma*e ad+ustments no one 'ould benefit( This standard 'ill better help me in the future for 'hen & am planning lessons that & 'ill need to use more than +ust $isual aids to teach topics in the classroom( & 'ill need to mo$e around the classroom and use gestures to get students attention to 'ant to listen and *eep them focused on the topic% other'ise students 'ill not pay attention and not retain the information & 'ill be teaching( !"#latte$ille School of 1ducation 2no'ledge% S*ills% and Dispositions Alignment: 2SD3(d This artifact best aligns 'ith 2SD3(d: The teacher demonstrates knowledge of resources. The best e.ample that ma*es this my e.perience reflect this 2SD is that & not only used the internet to find out facts and ideas about team'or* but & also tal*ed to my fello' classmates to figure out a topic that 'ould be interesting( !hen tal*ing 'ith my fello' classmates it ga$e me ideas of 'hat they 'ere doing to figure out if the ideas & had 'ould 'or*( & used the internet to find out games that 'ere related to team'or*( The ma+or thing & found out about this presentation is that finding outside sources from the internet or e$en tal*ing to your colleagues to ma*e sure that your lesson plan ma*es sense and is interesting( & am loo*ing for'ard to putting another lesson plan together soon and loo* more into depth on outside resources to ma*e my lesson plan better( Secondary alignment: 2SD 3(e #ersonal -eflection

!hat & learned about teaching5learning from this e.perience: 6ne of the many things & learned from this speech is that there are many 'ays to *eep students attention during your class( & first started out in this class a distracting non$erbal 'hen & 'ould tal* but o$er time & stopped s'aying and really getting into my speech 'hich not only made it easier for me but made e$ery student 'ant to listen to me( Another thing & learned is +ust using a single $isual aid throughout your teaching style is not $ery interesting% and that 'ill need to change things sometimes% li*e add in a mo$ie clip or an interacti$e 'ay to teach the sub+ect( & learned that adding a group acti$ity and $isual aids to the lesson you are teaching% helps engage students and ma*es them more interested in the unit or lesson you are teaching(

!hat & learned about myself as a prospecti$e educator from this e.perience: The most important thing & learned is that if & do not feel li*e the class is moti$ated at all or does not seem to care about 'hat is going on in the classroom & ha$e to change ho' & am teaching( Adding in $isual aids or adding group acti$ities or demonstrations 'ill gi$e students a different loo* than +ust lecturing( & 'ant to gi$e my students the best education and & 'ill do 'hate$er & can to get my sub+ect across to them( This also may mean that & need to ha$e more hands on acti$ities for my classes( Ta*ing this class is the best thing that could help me in the future based on ta*ing a loo* at 'hat it 'ill be li*e in the classroom( This class ga$e me more confidence of spea*ing in front of a large group of people( &t also ga$e me a better understanding of students needs and that & ha$e to modify my lessons to meet those needs(
